Check to see if report dynamic content changes is on. It is by default but it may have been turned off by a typing error. The command to toggle it on or off is NVDA 5, 5 on the main keyboard.

Thanks, did not help, but I do have it narrowed down to one offending machine. The numbers will not stop until I disconnect and it happens whether I'm controling remote or local.

While I doubt this will solve the problem, try turning off report dynamic content changes. It’s a toggle, NVDA 5, 5 on the main keyboard.

I've never gotten this issue, so I have no idea. It's fine here on both 10 and 11.
What exactly happens when the connection is established? Maybe delete your INI file in your NVDA folder and do it

1. Make sure you have created a website definition for youtube.com.
