Re: Sleep mode question
Hi, just for clarification, Speech off and sleep mode are not the same thing.
When the NVDA is in sleep mode, all the keys will go to the application directly.
Good luck.

To be honest david, I agree with the people that want the older style.
Its why I have ribbon disabler here.
It works and I know where to go.

Re: Sleep mode question
You can use NVDA+S and cycle through speech mode off or beep and same command to resume speech.
Thanks,

Re: Sleep mode question
You can set up a profile which I did, then I manually put nvda to sleep this way when I alt tab away nvda wakes up and when I alt tab back it shuts up.

I’m not necessarily disagreeing with the viewpoints of why alternative interfaces to the ribbon can be problematic, particularly for users who only use that alternative skin without learning

Well firefox 96 seems to have better processer handling and the latest 96.01 seems to handle displaying of some stuff a lot better to.
Security wize, its quite fast on release runs

I haven’t tested with the browsers you have named but the Brave browser, another Chrome-based browser, displays this behavior in the Google search edit field. I haven’t tried other edit fields.
