This is already possible: Mono Audio, a setting provided by Windows where you can hear stereo sounds through a single audio channel.

another suggestion for this would be to experiment with panning, or a way of having one of the sounds left in stereo, and the other one just left or right, if that's at all possible.

I think this addon would be more useful if there was a hot key to start or stop the sound splitting. That way for example if you were starting a Zoom meeting or similar thing you could start the

So if you want to simply disable it you need to go into the addon settings and uncheck the box to split sounds

While it may not be possible to resolve the right channel problem when disabling Sound Splitter and restarting NVDA, I might be able to restore NVDA sounds to both channels when you uninstall

The last bit you provided (disabling the add-on does not restore sounds to both channels) confirms the hypothesis I had about the add-on code. I'll look into this as a high priority

Sure. Just hit alt enter on the NVDA icon on your desktop and set it to alt CTRL V or whatever other letter makes since to you. HTH.

Actually I’ve used control shift plus what ever as well. It’s actually quite handy. If you want to though use control plus what ever an easier way is just enter the letter or other key with out

It’s actually a Windows shortcut key combination which is why it is not in the Input Gestures and you can change it to something else if you like but first you need to ensure the key

I solved the problem by reinstalling the sound splitter addon changing to not split the sound then removed the addon which got things back to normal.
Disabling the addon does not resolve the issue as
