That may well be and its good to be made aware of the importance of checking. But I would think that suitable ones could be found by asking on Blindness technology lists.

Re: double talk synth?
Yes, if you want to use more than one version of NVDA, one would have to be a portable. I should have discussed that.

Teamviewer add-on for NVDA
Hi,
is their a add-on that supports the current version of teamviewer? I currently can’t read the ID or password fields. the one I found only supports NVDA version 2019.

Re: double talk synth?
Just wanted to add, that don't forget you could grab an earlier release of NVDA which works with the desired TTS and install a portable copy of NVDA with older version to a flash drive.

You might want to file a bug on their github about this as this sounds like a kind of bug to me. Do steps to reproduce, use cases, etc. basically follow the templet given.

Re: Configuration profiles
What version of NVDA are you using?
Running the latest alpha, I did the following steps:
1. Checked that highlighting was off (NVDA+n, p, s, v, tab).
2. Created a new manually triggered profile

I've done a little with profiles and this may help. When you create the new profile, change whatever you want to change. Then, while you are still in the new profile, save it using NVDA key
