Internet Explorer 11 latest stable version of nvda. The second checkbox about focus mode changes in the browse mode dialogue, seems to have no effect.

It may not be shown in your system tray. Your system tray may be set to not show all icons that can be shown there. That's a Windows setting and not a screen-reader setting so you don't have to

after pressing windows+b, press space bar then press arrow keys. you
will find nvda on overflow area. you can activate by pressing enter
and reach nvda settings.

Thankss to everyone for all of their help. I'm used to using jaws, and when my other computer crashed no longer have jaws as an option. Long story made short, I don't haave funds to get another

Ok, you can do that. There are two ways, probably depending on how you want NVDA to behave in programs other than WLM or IE.
If you want the default behaviour to be that say all automatically reads
