In addition to usual version info, can you tell me if this happens with or without Windows App Essentials add-on installed? If Windows App Essentials is not running, it might be due to UIA event

From my latest test a moment ago the only way to read emojis is to use object navigation. In Windows 10 using just the arrow keys used to work, but now it doesn't.

That command should always work.
NVDA+Ctrl+s brings up the synthesizer selection dialog, and enter just chooses whatever you already have selected. If you try that now, you should be right back where

A screen reader relies on services provided by the underlying operating system to announce things on screen. The best example is when you press Tab to move between say, NVDA Settings controls.

You can use sharp keys. It's a software to replace your keys with each other. You can make right control to any key that is not usable in your laptop or you dont have a requirement of that
