Jumping in late to this one - but how did you go Ari? I see everyone suggested basically all the things I would have.
If all else fails, you can send me a copy of your NVDA log which you should find

I haven't used speech recognition lately, but you have two options:

By using the object navigation commands, you can move the review cursor to what you need! Then, move the mouse to the spot where you moved the review cursor to, by holding the caps lock and shift

All good questions, but I only have an answer for #5, and don't worry
about mentioning JAWS, happens on this list frequently. NVDA uses
something called object navigation, but I'm not an expert in it

NVDARemote Does Not pipe sound from the controlled computer proper, just the speech from the remote side.

As far as I know, there is no way to list books with screen reader support. And even worst, you may buy a book with screen reader support and they update the book and the new version is not
