Re: key repeat shut off
Is there not a key repeat and key delay in windows? I think that's what they mean? I'm not on my windows machine and won't be until probably tomorrow.

Re: how to copy text using clip speak?
You use the same keys as always. Clipspeak speaks the action being taken. That's all it does.

Re: how to copy text using clip speak?
I am presuming, based on Mr. Gaff's observations and a ClipSpeak download page, that what you're really asking is about the keyboard shortcuts for selecting text in differing size "chunks."

Does it not merely emulate what windows does in the main?
I find that I get errors, on Microsoft word when I use that add on but for just normal cutting and pasting its the same as

Why does Word sometimes take a long time to allow control back?
I've noticed this mainly with the last three versions of nvda, and it seems to follow no real pattern, but for those interested in logs..

Re: latest new windows
Felix, that's good news but, without divulging any Insider secrets, is it doing anything better than what we have now and has Microsoft changed to its new Chrome based Browser?
Cheers.

Re: latest new windows
Hi,
I'm running a Windows Insider pre-release of 1903 and I can report it
hasn't broken anything for me regarding NVDA.
Best,
Felix

Re: key repeat shut off
I'm not sure of what you're wanting.
If you want NVDA to not report each and every key you happen to press, then the command is NVDA+2. If, on the other hand, you want NVDA not to announce

If you have NVDA set to announce keys like tab and down arrow, there is no way around it, the command is either off or on and of course, you wouldn't want to stop speech when using such commands. in
