Re: Weather Plus 5.0 update available
An easier way is to open the Weather Plus settings and choose documentation. It takes you to the folder where 5 files including read me first are located.

Re: using win 7 after january 2020
I'm puzzled, why would say this isn't a legal practice?
The whole point of opensource is so others can modify the software to meet their needs. There's nothing illegal about forking a project and

Try unchecking all notifications in the Dropbox preferences - this is how I have things and I've never seen this window - mind you, this is under Windows 10 and not 7!

Re: An important message about Microsoft Windows 10 updates
There are things that are of such potential importance, this being one of them, that any usual rules should not apply.

Re: Invisible Dropbox pop-ups
I've had a sighted friend watch the screen when I boot up. We hear nvda saying the dropbox window, but I can assure that there is nothing visible at all on the screen nor is there

You can close the program in the system tray. At the Drop Box icon, if you are working directly with the system tray, press enter to do the equivalent of a left click. then up arrow once and press

Re: Reviewing the screen, help
This may have already been suggested but have you tried pressing NVDA key +5 on the number row to report dynamic content changes?

Re: Invisible Dropbox pop-ups
I wouldn't be so sure about that. This kind of crud does occur, and what you experience is generally an offshoot of what everyone's experiencing, but where those who see just dismiss it and go along

I decided to do a quick experiment and create a junk entry in the Default Dictionary.
The dictionaries are stored under %AppData%\Roaming\nvda\speechDicts. The Default dictionary has the filename

go into systray and disable it from starting at bootup. You'll find it under preferences.

Re: Invisible Dropbox pop-ups
I highly suspect these windows are invisible - Dropbox wouldn't ship an update that annoys sighted users every hour with a useless window like this. That would be too egregious of a bug.

Re: Invisible Dropbox pop-ups
Is it possible for someone to take a screen shot when this is occurring and e-mail it to me (as they can't be attached here)?
Under Win10 you should be able to hit WinKey+PrtSc and have a PNG file
