Re: Codefactory vocalizer and NVDA
It really depends on which version of Word you are using as to the exact behaviour with spell check. Spell check in Word 365 works quite well. There are specific places in Word 2013 / 2016 where

Re: NVDA, JAWS, compared to Narrator
Hi Annette!
That is so funny!
Yes, you could think that about Mark LOL! Try taking him down a few notches so he humbles himself LOL!
He is clear, I think so too.
Take care, Annette!

Control d takes you to the font dialog as well. I don't use Word so I don't know if you can do what you want there but that is a longstanding command.

I don't know why I constantly forget about this keyboard shortcut, but I do. It's also far preferable, in my opinion, because it allows you to deal with virtually any formatting related to font, font

Try using CTRL + D to open the MS Word font dialog. Also unchanged since the first version of Word for windows.

CTRL+ D will also take you to the font dialogue. Again this is a Word shortcut not a Screen Reader specific command.
All the best

Re: Some mouse navigation questions
I'm not saying the following to give you a hard time, as I explain below. You have a bias towards JAWS which I'm pointing out because it may give a false impression to some list members. please

Re: Some mouse navigation questions
I love screen review and it does actually catch everything on the screen, at least in the program I have to use it in. I just learned about it last week, so for me this is really cooll.

Laptop keys are thus
Switch review modes: nvda plus page up and page down
Move through the screen in screen review mode: nvda plus up down left and right arrows. Add control for words, nvda control

Yep. And, like a great many things in life, the best way to learn is by doing. You eventually perfect a method of generating your search terms that works for you. Eventually trial and error

Closer, but it's Fast Startup. You can also turn it on or off via Control Panel, Power Options, Choose what the power button does link, Change settings that are currently unavailable link, then

Re: Some mouse navigation questions
Hi,
Actually they aren't. I don't think that JAWS has any similarity to Object Review mode.
But you may have answered one of my questions. If I untether the review cursor, it may well go outside

Hello Steve!
The screen review is made to the object focused.
If you use NVDA+NumPad8, you will go to the parent object and screen review will be made to this new object...
