I know why your firefox keeps going back to standard view, You have firefox settings set to remove cookies every time you close the browser or similar. Make sure FF remembers all cookies from Google,

I have my messages going to archive instead of trash so I keep everythign and I mean everything. So a copy of it goes to trash and a copy goes to all mail.

I've read that to, but in my almost 10 yers of having a gmail address my trash has never ben cleared. I had to do it on my mail account,and I have it set to do it anyway.

Oops, that 2 GB is for my "britechguy" account. My primary account has 11 GB used, but still under 5.5 GB for all 9K plus e-mail messages.

Actualy as I said before you will run out of space as gmail does not delete stuff in the all mail folder, it really does keep them there and as for trash I've not seen it remove stuff now since may

Actually in my case when I clered everything before 2016 it cleared I kid you not 20 gigs of stuff. It took all night and used up all of my api calls so I could not really sync everything for about

I have a filter that I made that would clean e gmails before. a certainyear so everything before 2016 in my case disappeared. I haveinstructions somewhere I'll have to find.
