Re: subject keeps repeating when I hit enter on a message in thunderbird
I have it set to a new tab and now the subject line isn't repeating anymore. I did turn off the message pane and that might have helped.

Re: subject keeps repeating when I hit enter on a message in thunderbird
Ok, when I opened a message in a new window, it did repeat the subject here about three times. Opening the message in a new tab didn't have that result.

Telegram
I've been hearing about a social platform called Telegram. Has anyone used it here, and is it at all accessible with NVDA? Thanks.

Re: subject keeps repeating when I hit enter on a message in thunderbird
I don't usually let it read me the subject after hitting enter; instead, I immediately hit the say-all command. however, I just purposely let it start reading the entire email without doing anything

I'll get used to it. I have my keyboard set to skim mode so that helps.

Re: subject keeps repeating when I hit enter on a message in thunderbird
No. you'll just have to get used to it. This is part of the efficiency loss of being blind. I get it four times.
You can avoid it somewhat by starting to navigate as soon as it starts to read.

Re: Dragon UI hanging with NVDA
I've heard of similar issues with this software and nvda over the last few years from people who have tested this. I have not however heard of any fixes.
Take care

Dragon UI hanging with NVDA
When I click on Dragon toolbar > Tools > Options, the options dialog appears but mouse clicks and voice commands are ignored everywhere. The pointer changes to an hourglass in the options dialog box.

Re: Getting stuck with Firefox and NVDA and frames
All that Arlene's message says is that it lost all sound. Since we have no further information, we don't have any idea if this involves Device manager. We need to know details about the lost sound.

Ok where do you find device manager in win 7? Where do I send sighted assistance to find this? then when I get the old clunker started I can test Firefox for you all. I do use it to do my food safe

I use qRead to open the files, then just save as .txt and dump into my braille note for reading on the display. :D
Neat programme though. It was worth the money because it does open these files really
