Re: Don't know what to do
I thought of that after replying to Joseph. That should work too.

What I used to do is to just keep a copy of the file and put it in the new version.

Simply because I didn't want to restart my computer first before the NVDA downgrade as I was also doing other things. A temporary workaround I know, but workable for the sake of laziness. :)

Re: Don't know what to do
Hi,
What happens if a new build comes out and the file gets replaced? For this reason, I recommend switching to 2018.2.1 if you do not wish to hear error tones.
Cheers,
Joseph

Re: Don't know what to do
We'll see how this works. I'm using a blank txt file renamed to error.wav. So far so good.
NVDA complained about me backing up from the Beta to an older version, so left it to try this

Re: can't watch a DVD
Well if it is ntsc I'd try to get it in pal format.
If it is a different regon or says its paralel imported then you may have a problem.
Yes you can play them, no its not straight forward.

Re: Don't know what to do
True. Didn’t such a wav file exists. I mean I understand why NV Access has to do that, but when you are just reading something simple as HTML content via email or on the web etc. It gets annoying.

Re: Don't know what to do
You can substitute another wave file for that one if you wish. Do you want to hear any notification of errors? If not, you can use a silent wave file.

Re: Integrate NVDA into the Windows 7 setup?
But are you saying that you can do this using a Windows 7 PE environment? If so, you appear to say that it is rather complicated and requires two hard drives.

Hi, Sean,
My sister was the one who bought it for me for my birthday. I'll have to ask her about it.

I'm thinking about switching myself. That sound is annoying, and makes my tinnitus scream in agony. As I have heard it can't be turned off, I think it's back to non alpha/beta builds I go.
