I prefer how when I move between cells in a table, Jaws reads the row or column name as appropriate. I have to keep a lot less information in my short-term memory that way.

Did you try narrator? I have no need for this but its been around for an age now, and used to work well in the old Dos box.

It makes a reasonable job of reading out loud as well of course. What a pity it cannot do this in the background and just present you with an audio file as well.

I think I have even seen this running together for some lines in Adobe reader as well, but Edge seems to manage.
Of course the big problem on pdf has always been tagging the reading order of the text
