Hello,
Open up the synth chooser dialog with NVDA plus control plus S. Once you have the dialog opened up you can tab to the ducking options and turn it off.

NVDA ducking
Hi list my NVDA has without warning started to duck. The volume is dropping while I’m on out-of-sight. It’s never done it before. How do I stop it?
