Well I suspect it went for last known good and hence it was before it got itself confused.
I've noticed similar issues on 7 with some so called safe software.

Hello. So far so good. NVDA is working out nicely. One area causing some difficulty is around list boxes.
I use a home delivery service for some meals and they have a ratings system to fill in

For me notepad++ is just fantastic!
I do not feel such problems and I use it to read books and write python code.

I cant tell from your discussion how you know you are not on the correct line. But if you aren't, this may be a problem of NVDA tracking the cursor improperly, or for whatever reason, reading ahead

if i turn off wordWrap, one line for me sometimes contains thousands
of characters!
i tried it one time, in a txt file if i dont press enter after any
sentence to create any new line, as i told, one

If you turn on Word wrap, the lines may be of a different length than the actual line. I don't know what you are describing. Are the lines numbered or in what way are you saying they don't

I'm not sure if version 56 and higher has been generally released yet. My Firefox portable says it is up-to-date with 55.x. Whether that is the portable version being behind or those using 56.X
