This should be renamed. When in screen review mode, the review cursor doesn’t move. It maintains its place, as it should. It is in object navigation that the navigator moves with the caret.

NVDA and thunderbird
Running the latest released version of NVDA and Thunderbird on the lates version of Win 10. After typing a new message in thunderbird I use control left and right arrow to review what I have typed.

If you mean by recognition, that using the letter t won’t work, it has nothing to do with that. All such settings are for spoken announcements and all movement commands wwork as they did before.

Have a look under the document formating section /menu then go down to tables and uncheck that box it will stop that.
It will just read as normal.
