Late replying, but it doesn't look like anyone has. I don't specifically have an answer for you, but the main thing I'd suggest is adding the request as an issue on our issue tracker:

I think, it may be caused by automatic language switching functionality of NVDA. Possibly, NVDA tries to use system default voice for reading a Word document in "Say all" mode.

no, and that is not part of windows. Done to many installs not to notice that in task tray or even program list.
That most of come from manufacture or who ever setup that computer.

I would try using Narrator to gain access to this utility. Sometimes, NVDA appears to have frozen. No object navigation, nothing else works.
