I like to select my rows by holding the shift key as I arrow down colmn A. I then press control and space which highlights the entire row in each case thus completing the block of cells.

After selecting all your rows, there are three ways to hide them.

If you enjoy working with the ribbon, you can hide rows in this way:

1.Go to the Home tab > Cells group, and click the Format button.

2.Under Visibility, point to Hide & Unhide, and then select Hide Rows.

Hide rows in Excel using the ribbon.

Alternatively, you can click Home tab >Format > Row Height… and type 0 in the Row Height box.

Either way, the selected rows will be hidden from view straight away.

Hide rows using the right-click menu

In case you don't want to bother remembering the location of the Hide command on the ribbon, you can access it from the context menu: right click the selected rows, and then click Hide.

Hide rows in Excel via the right-click menu.

Excel shortcut to hide row

If you'd rather not take your hands off the keyboard, you can quickly hide the selected row(s) by pressing this shortcut: Ctrl + 9

Legal, Medical, standard, etc. So, I don’t really cover legal interpretation

And this is where I’m stuck. I’d like to be able to hide the appointments/rows where the requested service is “In Court Certified,” but can’t find where to do it. I’ve poked around online and there are some step-by-step instructions, but either I can’t follow the sequence or they involve macros. I’m not against using macros per say even though I’m not too familiar with them, but I figure there has to be a way to simply hide the rows I’m not interested in seeing and condensing the spreadsheet.

These appointments are pretty much first come first serve, so being able to better filter out the superfluous ones would be a huge help to my productivity instead of sifting through one by one to see if it’s legal or not.

I’m mainly a Jaws user, but I suppose this sort of inquiry can apply to Jaws or NVDA.

Any input would be appreciated.

Hi

Just confirmed with google chrome

This is with a add blocker.

If I do not have it enabled it will play the show automatically and if enabled the show will not start. When I disabled it again it played automatically.

This is in google chrome. so am guessing it might be the same in other browsers.

I think I will go up later on tonight and note that if using a add blocker to turn it off. I have no add blockers so I think they were showing me the player of which I wrote down the different way to start a movie in a browser.

I will put it on that page under please note near the browser section.

Hi

When I just went into google chrome it played automatically. I wonder on some websites if you have a add blocker it will stop you from playing shows but they usually give you a message to turn it off. I wonder if that is the case if you have one can you disable it then try it again.

It may not be the problem but you never know.

I have not got a add blocker on it at present I did but for a website I am testing for accessibility it wanted it off and I can not remember if I just disabled it or removed it.

					I've never had any issue with key lengths, although I can't say I've ever tried one that small.

I do the same as Jackie and Sarah--just use some natural word or phrase that the client can easily type.

One thought I had, was to wonder if you and this client were on the same version of remote.

I use a made up key. Let's say I wanted my key to be sarahsucks123. I could type that in. Or if I wanted the key to be nvda13, I just type that in, it can be letters and numbers.

Dean, let's ensure a couple things.
1) Is the app actually installed? Press NVDA+n, then t & up arrow 1.
Does it say remote? If not, then the remote app isn't installed.)
2) Now try connecting. Once the connect option is chosen ensure that
client is selected & you're controlling the machine, & your trainee
has selected
to allow control from another machine.
3) Make certain you both have typed the same key in the key part of
the dialog. That means same case, whole 9yd. Then press ok.

f11 allows you to control the machine. Pressing it again lets you
access your own machine.
