Re: Accessible of google things in Google chrome
Nimer Jaber
Yes, they are accessible. Just be sure to enable accessibility mode, if you have not yet, by pressing ctrl+alt+z. Also, you must get comfortable in using web apps, and in jumping in and out of browse mode in order to achieve success with Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Thanks. Accessible of google things in Google chrome
I have a question.
Is Google docs, Google slides, and Google sheets accessible in Google chrome for NVDA? If not, where I can post this suggestion? Thank You. best regards Marco Oros |

Interesting issue with Desktop version of Facebook and Microsoft Edge Dev
While reading some posts on Facebook, I see a weird thing going on. Instead of saying how long ago the post was posted in one line, the letters will read out as I arrow down.
For example, "sponsored" will read s p o n s o r e d It's slightly annoying. I'm using alpha 19460 with the latest development version of Microsoft Edge, Development version. A solution to this would be fantastic. |

There is a setting that got rid of many weird symbols for me:
NVDA menu, preferences, Braille Extender, Braille Tables, Prevent undefined characters with Hexadecimal Unicode value |

Hi Ramesh, Try the NVDA 2019.3 beta 1 version which has improvements to Java which others have reported have improved the experience with Android Studio: https://www.nvaccess.org/post/nvda-2019-3beta1-now-available-for-testing/ On Sun, Dec 15, 2019 at 4:48 PM Ramesh Patil <ramesh.patil1989@...> wrote:

Re: Strange possible bug with the latest veta of Nvda.
Quentin Christensen
It is likely because in our alpha (and now beta) versions, we have updated NVDA to use Python 3 rather than Python 2. For the most part, you don't need to understand too much about programming, except in general, that is a needed step, I noted a couple of the reasons in our In-Process blog a few weeks ago:
https://www.nvaccess.org/post/in-process-29th-november/ Basically, it means that all add-ons also need to be updated to Python 3. Joseph has done a fantastic amount of work with many add-ons and add-on developers to help them, and he has also collated the status of all of the main official add-ons here: https://addons.nvda-project.org/addons/nvdapy3.en.html So, what I'd recommend, is contacting the developer of the RH Voice to advise them and request they update their NVDA add-on to Python 3. regards Quentin. Ok. do this: 1. open Android Studio with NVDA. 2. Press NVDA key+f1. You are now presented with the NVDA log
file. Copy the contents and send me as an email to

Sometimes I get these symbols when I use the English braille tables using my braille sense with NVDA. Is there a setting to make the braille display or NVDA ignore these symbols? They occupy many braille cells on the display unnecessarily,on top of being very annoying.

Re: Strange symbols on my Braille display
Adriani Botez
Hey Denis,
are you experiencing this also on Firefox? And is this behavior only on Twitter? Or do you see it on every website?
Here is some background about the character that you get on your braille display. This is an object replacement character and although seems to be part of the accessibility tree, it should not be exposed to the braille display. https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/Accessibility/Architecture
Have you enabled any accessibility development features in Chrome which might expose those characters?

Edge doesn't work with NVDA?
Gerardo Corripio <gera1027@...>
Using the latest NVDA, with latest Windows10 (Windows 10Ver1909 (64 bits) build 18363.476), and Microsoft Edge version 79.0.309.51, since this morning, open Edge, but can’t navigate with the keyboard!;tbab is the only command that works; and when I Alt into the menus, the arrows work perfectly! I can’t even perform the NVDA+space command to hange between Focus and non-focus mode as before! Internet Explorer works beautifully! I don’t know what else to do aside maybe uninstall and reinstall edge? Or maybe uninstall and reinstall NVDA? This is so frustrating! Thanks for any info you guys might have on this.

Resource Monitor 19.11.1, last release to support NVDA 2019.2.1 and earlier
#addonrelease
Hi all,
Resource Monitor 19.11.1 is now available. Nothing new – just localization updates.
IMPORTANT: Resource Monitor 19.11.1 is the last version of this add-on to support NVDA 2019.2.1 and earlier. In fact, for all of my add-ons, whatever stable version is out there (Windows 10 App Essentials 19.11.4, for instance) will be the last version to support earlier NVDA releases. The next release (20.01 and what not) will require NVDA 2019.3. Cheers, Joseph |

Re: accents in french with a perkins keyboard of focus V5 braille display - question
Aine Kelly Costello
Hi Affik,
Have a look at the settings under Braille to adjust the input Braille table (if you happen to be sticking with an english Braille table, I'd pick UEB). You can also use the Braille extender add-on to set keyboard shortcut for quick switching of input and output tables. Then under input gestures in the NVDA preferences menu, under Braille extender, there are options called "switch between his favourite [input/output] tables". I don't have a focus but assume that should all work okay regardless of display :) Áine |
