nvda's lag and 1903
So knock on wood I think I found the lag problem, sort of. I restarted nvda with all add ons disabled and the lag is now gone. I can alt tab and I don't lose my ability to move by the stuff in my task bar. I'm only guessing but can the essentials add on be checked, as that's the only thing I can thing of that may be broken. I'm using the latest nvda as of a few days ago and the latest win 10 1903. I can't really provide a log as I think the old log file was over written or something but there you go. Re: Resetting NVDA's keystrokes
Gene
If you change commands, it is important to consider
possible dconflicts with keys you already use. In browsers, control t is a
standard command for opening a new tab. I don't know if control t is used
in any other programs you use.
If you never use control t for
anything, that's fine for now, but I would think control shift t would be a
better choice. Control and letter keys may be used by various programs for
different purposes. A combination like control shift t is far less likely
to be used.

Re: Adding Time-Stop Marks to Audio Tracks
Gene
I tried the Carlos program and I found that it not
only allows you to create a time marker, but when you activate that time marker,
it opens the file in Winamp and moves you to the time specified. So you
don't have to find and press enter on the file first or open Winamp. You
can just activate the time marker, which is very convenient because it saves all
the other steps you might have to take otherwise.
Also, if you want the installer to create a
shortcut on the desktop, you have to check that option during
installation.
Also, you can create a shortcut key, not using the installer, but in the usual way. I did so. So all I have to do is execute the shortcut command and when the program opens, move to the time marker I want, then execute alt j, the shortcut command to jump to the time, using the time marker. And if you only have one time marker, that is
automatically selected when you open the utility so all you have to do is
execute the shortcut key and, when the utility opens use alt j.

I can't remember now whether I had to install a WinAmp plugin to enable WinAmp to be able to pllay cue files (I've used them when necessary for years!), but you could give it a go and see if it works. I have single mp3 files of Chopin's pianoe etudes Op10 and Op25 which contain 12 etudes in each mp3 file. I have both single mp3 files with their respective cue files saved in the same folder. If I open the cue file in WinAmp it plays the mp3 file as if each etude was a single file. In the text below (which is the ..cue file) REM is just a remark / comnent. You can tell that the filename points to the mp3 file (saved in the same folder) and the INDEX is the time the particular song / section begins. I don't know whether the spacing before PERFORMER and track titles are specific, but I would assume the block capital letters for PERFORMER, TITLE and FILE are required. Re: Adding Time-Stop Marks to Audio Tracks
Sorry I didn't see this thread earlier . There is another option that works similarly to the idea of writing down the stop points in a text file, but this has the advantage that you can load the file into WinAmp and, having done that, you can jump forward and backwards as if they were separate tracks.

Thanks. I will try it.

Re: Resetting NVDA's keystrokes
Luke,
We can just tell you what it's supposed to be.I'm afraid this won't do much good. I mean, I don't know but it probably won't. The key is the right mouse click. And I don't have the option to perform the default command myself, I thought about it before asking here :) I'd need to have a numpad. Anyway, thanks :) Cheers, Marcio AKA Starboy Sent from a galaxy far, far away. --Are you a Thunderbird user? Hi.
If you configured some NVDA shortcuts, go to the user directory, then look for gestures.ini. You can delete that file.

Resetting NVDA's keystrokes
Hi,
Today I realised that quite a while ago I had changed an NVDA keystroke regarding mouse clicks. Now, as I got used to the laptop layout I would like to have it as this was by default. Is there a way of doing it? If not, could anyone please send me the default keymap file (if NVDA has one)? Thanks a lot.

WeatherPlus: NVDA+W Still not working
Rob Hudson <rob_hudson_3182@...>
Current version NVDA and WP, on windows 10.
I purged every file of previous weather plus installations. Installed 6.5 just now. For curiosity, I pressed NVDA+w. I got a message that the ID was not set. I went and loaded a city: usmn 12782415 I could go through all the checkboxes I ticked, if that would help narrow the error down. In any case the hotkey NVDA+W now doesn't work, but forecast, NVDA+Shift+W, does. Re: Adding Time-Stop Marks to Audio Tracks
Gene
It appears very unlikely that the extended Winamp
Add-on has the ability to set time markers. The description says nothing
about this ability.
This add-on, developed by Carlos, who contributed a
lot to the community before his untimely death, does so, according to another
list member. I found this link in the archives. I don't know if it
works with the same commands and in the same manner as a previous post from
another list member describes.
