Hi New Screen Curtan in NVDA.
Michael Munn
Good Afternoon NVDA user's list email subscribers,This is Michael Munn the new person in the list. I have a fantastic news to tell you all that the NVDA now come with an Add on called Screen Curtain.. I think all of you already know this. In case you don't I'm going to repeat this once again. This add on soon to be one of the Feature of NVDA that's enable the user of NVDA to hide their Screen so that wany sighted people can't look after you. Who is the developer of this unique add on? I really enjoy this add on. Thanks once again Best Regards Michael Munn "If a person must be blind, it is better to be blind in Iowa than anywhere else in the nation or in the world." It's a balancing act. You have to set the rate in the control panel such that it is acceptable for nvda but not too fast for narrator; assuming, of course, that you use Narrator at all.

On the web page, I use Control + L that lands me on the URL. In the past, I used the context key to do a select, then again to copy. However I did try your copy method and it worked fine and it saves a tiny bit of time.
Then when on the desktop, I deselect the default item, and use the context key go to New, arrow down to Shortcut and fill in the address I have saved,, press NEXT and add a title and press Done.

Re: Free Synthesizers
John Isige
Yes. Essentially you have two speed controls, NVDA's rate control, and
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
the rate control in Windows. Neither will go above 100 percent. But let's say the rate control in Windows is set to fifty percent. If you set NVDA to a hundred percent, it's only going to go as fast as the Windows control's fifty percent. So if you increase the Windows control, you increase NVDA's as well, in other words, NVDA can now speak at a faster rate. Indeed, I'm pretty sure I have my Windows control set to something like eighty percent and my NVDA control set to fifty or sixty. This is just like the volume control. If your Windows volume gets turned down, the NVDA volume will only be so loud, even if it's at a hundred percent. If you turn up the volume for your sound card, NVDA can be louder. But neither volume control goes above a hundred percent. Hope that helps explain it all.

Hi all! I hope you can help me. When I try to correct my emails, I have to use the text commands to read with the review cursor, and press the command to bring the focus to the review cursor, and make the correction. My messages read fine with the review cursor, but it is getting almost impossible to read my message with the arrow keys and the focus. I am using latest alpha build, latest Mail app update, and Windows 1803. It is the win10 mail app. I have tried turning off my add-ons except for Windows app essentials, but it does not help. Re: \Re: Windows 10 and email

Windows Live Mail has both those features, a search
feature that is just as good as Outlook Express and returning to a folder and
having your previous position remembered.
As I may have said here before, because of the
inconveniences and problems many people have with continuing to use a completely
outdated program, I wouldn't use Outlook Express unless it had one or more
features I considered essential or very important compared with other
programs.
I wouldn't be surprised if Thunderbird had both of
these features as well and, with first letter folder navigation now available,
that is another reason not to continue to use Outlook Express.

In outlook Express, we can put something in every message field to really narrow the search, and the time frame is much easier and customizable to use than it is in Outlook. I save many messages for later reference and the searches for old messages is much faster with Outlook Express than it is with Outlook. For me, that is a significant drawback with Outlook. The one thing I can state that I like about Outlook over Outlook Express, is the way you can go to another folder and when you return to the inbox, you are in the same place in the list of messages from where you left the inbox.
