Adding custom entries to insert symbols dialogue?

Bit of a silly question, but, while I have the insert symbols add-on showing up in my add-ons manager, I can't find anything like it's data files under either %appData%, or under program files?

Hi all, I was talking to a friend on Facebook. She is a programmer. This went over my head. We were talking about python and NVDA. I will put right below what she said, so you can comment on it, because this is so over my head! She really wants to get involved with the NVDA project. Here is what she said. I am a fan of Python as a primary language for a system. Something like NVDA should have a C++ core with language-of-choice wrappers. Python is having trouble evolving without completely changing the language, which leaves the risk of building a future of dead, legacy libraries quite high. It reminds me of what happened to FORTRAN. Moreover, Python is joy well suited to continually running, closed loops services like NVDA would be. that said, upgrading to Python 3 is a helpful step that MUST be done. It is unfortunate that Python was the initial language of choice because this will have to be done again in the coming years. By the time all is said and done, Python will end up looking looking like "JavaScript without curly braces", which implies the question, "why not have just adopted JavaScriptNode.js in the first place?" If nvda runs on the login screen then you can bring up the nvda menu and change the way nvda starts or in your case not at all to get into windows After the required changes save the settings and restart, then you should be good to go

So my question is: Is there a way to not start NVDA at login time? Or at least make it not load the addons?

Hello! Regarding to visual studio, does it apply to vs 2017 comunity edition? I just installed it and fork a copy of nvda. But it seams to freeze when I start to navigate in code. Maybe I need some shortcuts to perform the most common tasks in vs.

You should be able to go into save mode, with
sighted help. You can then uninstall NVDA or, perhaps, someone can tell us
how to remove the add on files.

Well if you have a portable nvda on you or can get one and maybe a sightling to right click nvda icon for you and quit it or end it in task manager then you can use that and then well run a system restore, or just clear the mangled file that may work.

Testing with a Freedom Scientific (now VFO) Focus 40 Blue braille display, NVDA 2017.4 and the latest Windows 10 1709 release, if I switch to the Windows 10 lock screen and then allow the host computer and the braille display to suspend, the display is not detected after resuming from suspend. The only solution I found was to restart NVDA, after which the display was again detected.
Can anyone else reproduce this issue?
I can test with a Baum display as well, but I haven’t done so yet.

But I'm skeptical because we heard no reports from others and if there were such an issue, we would expect to see people talking about how slow the download is or that they couldn't do so.
