I agree. I'm not picky about the speed as far as downloading something. One time I downloaded an oldies show and it took about 18 minutes but I went off and did something else while the show was downloading.

In what context does this occur. Obviously, nvda responds to what the application is doing to control this. If you have echo keys as they are typed on on some dodgy web sites I've noticed it saying p star a star etc, when the keyboard repeat should be off. I have not seen this on good software or web sites. s. Some web sites allow you to toggle speaking of passwords on and off of course, and there is I think an nvda add on that allows you to hear passwords. After all if you are alone and want to make sure you typed it correctly, why not? Thus I think in order to answer your question we would need to know the specific case when its happening and you think it should not so others can test it. Brian

Your download was much slower than mine. We
don't know why. It isn't a band width issue. I got download speeds
last night, perhaps thirty minutes after the e-mail was sent or an hour after,
of about 500kbps and the download took about eighteen minutes. We don't
know why the download was so slow in your case. Again, you often
generalize from one performance experience. You often can't. You
can say this was your experience but without more information, you often
can't say more than that. If others have such problems, then a new host
might be in order but since we have received no other complaints and given
the interest, probably fifty or one-hundred or more people may have downloaded
it by now, no such evidence is known.

If it was, then that would be very uncommon.
It may be that, just having been announced, a lot of people, far more than
usual, tried to download the file at the same time. But I'm skeptical
because we heard no reports from others and if there were such an issue, we

When should you use development snapshots? Right now! I would Use Master snapshots, because they have been tested for two weeks. It is beta software like the RC versions are for the major versions like 2018.1. I use Next snapshots, because they are even more up to date, and I like testing new code. The more advanced should use those. Have a great one! Sent from Mail for Windows 10

To be fair, the next snaps have been very reliable recently. This is purely a fault where the correct dialogue is not being brought up, You can see the errors in the log quite clearly in fact.

I am not sure how the download is being made, but suspect its the same routine as for installed copies, and the ability to defer installation and the use in portable versions has caused the confusion where pointers are shall we say not pointing to the right bit of code!
