Gene,
Very well said.
Now, I'd just like to add that, if this policy really is going to be implemented, then the footer attached to each message sent to this group must change to include

Re: Silent Install
Interesting! Is there any way where I could read more about it?
Also, is there a way to install any program following this method?
Cheers,

Re: Silent Install
Update: I've found that the uninstaller can be run silently with the '/S' and '/SD' switches (case sensitive).
The uninstaller is based on Nullsoft which has the following commands:

Re: Silent Install
I don’t know if any dialog pops up or not when I do a silent install
But that switch shouldn’t allow any interaction whilst installing, its always worked for me

Re: How to enable playing videos etc. with FF 66 using NVDA?
I would also like to say that although not directly nvda related, I can certainly say that I always install the Klite codec pack on any machine as it seems to cope with almost any kind of content a

Re: Autorun for the portable version?
Officially due to security constraints in windows autorun of any old software from portable media is not allowed, but I'm sure you realise this. In any case it would most certainly not work

It can be, but I think a lot of people come at it with a bad taste from other lists, github is a case in point. I reckon I know what I'm doing but have little success at finding staringly obvious

Re: I Can't get the latest version of NVDA to install
I don't know anything about user profiles so I don't know if that is the problem. But what I find interesting is that you don't even get to the point where NVDA is running for the talking install.
