Not knowing what add-ons someone has, or what vintage they may be, I would definitely encourage anyone using NVDA with add-ons to get the Add-On Updater add-on, which is getting more and more

I doubt portable versions are out of date. I got a version shortly after quantum came out which was current then and, though I don't use firefox much on my Windows 7 machine, it has often told me
