Also for those having issues on the other list, with office, its a known bug, try running any office program, ie word and updating again. There aparently is a way to get round that.

settings apps default apps and edge. ff is no more so it doesn't matter. and as I said edge was the default. I changed it to ff then put it back but it still opened in ff.

What it shows you depends on how you've selected certain things. Presuming the More Details view is active, you'll see all processes on running on the computer. These are going to be presented as

You must activate the "More Details" control at the bottom if you want all processes (whether yours or not) to be displayed. This will also toggle the "More Details" control to a "Fewer Details"

Have you restarted the computer? All triggering of programs via shortcuts is handled via Windows, so the issue lies there. Sometimes a restart is all it takes to clear whatever "constipation" Windows

I am using office365, Confirm that this problem exists. The content of the start menu will not be read after closing Word. It also won't read the contents of Explorer. Reopening Word will not read.
