I forgot to mention i started up narrator to see if i got the same results but narrator was able to get into the menus etc in those programs and also read the little icons under the running

NVDA keeps on saying unknown yet speaks in other places
hi guys
i have a lady who gave me her laptop. She is running Windows 10 with the anniversary version of windows. it is a 64 bit machine and has NVDA 2017.2 on it at present.

I had a spate about a year back when hitting control showed in the log as windows/control until I took my puter back to the start of that month After

This can work if the pdf is the same all the way through or is tagged and not protected, but otherwise its a mess. I do use the webbie pdf reader for some that mess about but pdfs are a bit hit and

When one of my keyboards started going bad years ago, sometimes keys would work intermittently. That's the most logical explanation. Otherwise, maybe the keyboard is possessed by an entity.
