When I went into thunderbird, I was taken to the add-ons manager instead of
the inbox. What do I do to get back to the inbox tab?

A small number of machines need to see a monitor or they won't boot. Im not sure if the monitor needs to be on but it needs to see one connected, if not on. I've seen this discussed many years ago
