Sometimes it does sometimes not, but often what does occur on a very slow site is that focus does not end up in the page correctly, but just hitting alt then escape seems to wake this up.

The snag is that one would need to know who would maintain and test it. I'm sure that if Msoft did a deal with all screenreader companies to point at their latest versions and pricing it could be done

You can try but whether you will be successful at tabbing and shift tabbing to the field or typing in it are things you won't know until you try.

Yeah sometimes it says search but you don't get the little click like when in the search box and typing in the search anywaydoesn't work. So that's when I'd need to switch modes with the nvda
