Hi Ron,
Might this be a drive letter problem? Can you check with narrator?
Just some thoughts late at night in the uk.

Re: nvda and win 10
Hi,
Try:
1. Open General settings.
2. Uncheck “Automatically start NVDA after I log on to Windows” and “Use NVDA on the Windows logon screen (requires administrator privileges)”

Re: nvda and win 10
Ever since nvda 20015-4 I think that's when it happened, nvda is supposed to show up in Ease Of Access Center. It does show up there in my laptop running Win 10.

Question About Portable Installation of NVDA
Hi Group,
Well, I got my new old back up computer--a Windows 7 with 4 GB RAM and a duel core processor.
I do not have speech on it. This was semi-deliberate. That is to say, the seller wasn't

Well, the nvda icon is still on the desktop and in the volume control and in the system tray so all seems good.

Re: nvda and win 10
Roger,
Not that this helps much, but it is another data point. I have NVDA, JAWS, and Window Eyes all installed on my Win10 Home 64-bit laptop and none of them have ever had anything

Hi roger,
I would try installing NVDA again on your desktop. Actually, any screen reader should be uninstalled and then reinstalled after up grading to win10. NVDA should show up in your notification

Hi,
Different web sites work better on different browsers. With Chrome, Facebook does not work that well with a screen reader. Now Chrome does work great if you want to stream media or play videos.
