Narrator definitely works on Windows 10 installation media. I haven't tried any of the recovery or repair tools that might be available within that environment, but I would expect them to be

Thunderbird talking way too much
Yeah to the poster on here with the issue with thunderbird 68.7, the statusbar is quite verbose, stating extra information at the end of the message.
Now in outlook I get a list of messages and I get

If you are doing windows ten, you can use narrator.
Win seven has some created by several people.

If I open a PDF file in Chrome 81, NVDA describes it as an "embedded object", then fails to read it. JAWS does the same, so I assume something changed in Chrome. On the other hand, VoiceOver for Mac

I got the 68.7 update today and noticed it was chatty. It was reading the status bar, so I disabled that, and it's less verbose. You can disable the status bar from view -> toolbars.

I believe someone on my twitter said unchecking some stuff in the tool bar, but they really did not give much more than that. I hope this will be a shove in the right direction.

Alt+F will also open the Chrome menu. Then press "E" to open the Help sub-menu, then press "G" to open the "About Google Chrome" sub-menu, and the version number will be on the page that loads.

I love Chrome it's the only thing I use. Very friendly with NVDA. I love how going into help checks for updates and starts the update. Be safe all!
