Obviously I have not purchased the product yet, so it becomes impossible to continue.

I don't know how to contact them.

Re: Imazing2

It is not entirely clear, but I would be surprised if Imazing2 does not install in "evaluation mode" for some relatively short period of time if you do not purchase a license.

The easiest way to attempt to assess accessibility is to try installing a program and playing with it if no one else has trod that path ahead of you.

remote

I am running into two problems. I have one client that has remote 2.1 and we can’t seem to remove it. In addon manager it shows, “pending restart”. No matter how many times we have restarted.

The other client has the latest remote but every time he enters on connect it kicks him out. We get the same result when I have him open remote and enter on option.

Joe,

Don't worry at all - easy to do.  And for every person who asks a question on a list like this, no doubt there are others with the same issue who either didn't get around to writing or were embarrassed to ask, so the answer is there for them as well :)

Thanks for the update!

Quentin.

Hello quentin,

It has been quite a while since I wrote to the list regarding this

I maybe should have change the subject to something like "egg on my face."

It turns out that the issue indeed was caused by a ducking setting being
in force.

I did not realize that there are three settings, so completely mis read
the screen output.

Thanks for writing, and great pleasure around my wife's office just now,
as she does a lot of work with audio.

Just thought I'd update you.

Thanks.

Personally I had never heard of it, but if you do decide to buy it and find out its level of NVDA accessibility, be sure to let us know how it works out. It seems potentially very useful.

Re: NVDA Configuration File

Luke Davis

It certainly won't hurt anything to do this. And, if something goes a little wrong with his copying of NVDA, you will have a fully configured NVDA ready to go if you need to install it again.

The more general answer is: if any kind of backup is easy to make, don't even wonder if it's a good idea, just do it. It's a lot easier to have them and not need them.
Plus, it's pretty rare that anyone will give you the advice to *not* back something up, because nobody wants to be the one you followed when you lost your data or configuration or whatever. :)

Re: lengthy reading in Braille

Well I have disabled all power modes.

I always have output of all minimums at maximum, sometimes I drop the minimal processer  to half, but mostly I don't.

Everything is set not to save power so nothing gets interupted.

The disks don't turn off, the system does not sleep, or hybernate.

Unless I turn it off it will not turn off.

The only exception is that if I close the lid or forget to shut the system off it will hybernate by default.

This may be good for short transports etc.

My aunt didn't have anything set because I always turn it off, and she shut it, and put it away in her bag and it  got hot.

It didn't damage it though, still its a good idea not to do that.

But again I guess something else could be done to keep sleep mode available and still allow long Braille reading.

Re: Addon for Sonos Desktop V1.5 released

James Scholes

I have concerns about lines like this:

s8 = fg.firstChild.next.next.next.next.next.firstChild.next.next.next.next.next.next.next.next.next.next.name

Partly because s1 to s8 aren't descriptive variable names. But mainly because a single change in object layout will render it useless.

Is there a better way of doing it, which involves looking for class names or whatever?
