           Brilliant!  (and arcane).   I would never, in a million years,
have found this, or probably even tried it had I gotten to those settings,
since the skinned version of the context menu presents precisely the same
information as the system version does.  It must be the skin overlay that is
the root of the accessibility problem.

            Works like a charm after tweaking that setting (or at least the
menu does).  I restarted the player even though it didn't force me to do
so.

Well, I don't expect NVDA to figure out whether they do anything, that's between me and the site I'm browsing. I'm more concerned with getting to them. If I can jump to links, buttons, checkboxes, and all the rest, why can't I jump to clickables? Their just another web element from that prospective. Not all checkboxes, radio buttons, or buttons do something either--they may be disabled, for example. They just indicate that fact better than clickables (things with onclick events).

To your comment about some clickables not working:

Often I have found that clickables are toggles on the page. They select options, like radio buttons or checkboxes would on a more regularly designed site, but don't take you anywhere. Probably their highlighting changes, or in some other way they look "pressed", and then when you do hit a next button or whatever, they take effect. It's just that NVDA doesn't register that level of change.

And I have read recently in some archive on github, that if you enter browse mode, some clickables that don't otherwise work, do then work. I haven't tried this yet.

Olli's answer to my question aided my search as I figured out what
needs to happen with regard to using colors in NVDA.
However, the article found, https://etcusf.edu, gives a step by step
on how to select a synthesizer.

For colors, does everything happen within the Preferences menu, or submenu,=?

This is the case, according to the web source, on finding a desired
voice synthesizer.

Of course, one gets to preferences via the NVDA menu.

I am still unsure of what the heck it is I want to search for and will
keep looking until resolved. Thanks.

Is there any reasonable way, or is there some way in development, to jump
between items on a web page that are "clickable"?

The manual only mentions clickables in regards to the indicator in the
braille section, and the checkbox in the document format configuration
description, and even in this latter it is very sparse information.

I have found various discussions about clickables, whether they should be
spoken, whether lots in a row should be spoken, and how to get them to
stop speaking, but nothing about how to navigate them.

For example, if I have a bunch of links on a page, I can skip between them
with k, v, u, etc. If there are buttons, I can use b and B. And so on.
But how does one do this with clickables? Sometimes you run into quite
long lists of these, and it would be nice to move through them quickly, or
to jump to them from another part of the page.

Frankly I'm surprised this has not been done already, but maybe there is
some reason I can't think of. Or maybe it is being done and just isn't
documented in an obvious way.
