Hi, Arleen,

Yes, I'm using gmail. What I did was install the thunderbird program. I set up my account and then I was taken to the gmail site. After signing in with my username and password, I hit H for headings and jumped down to a button that says "allow thunderbird to access your account. I hit the space bar on it and my messages downloaded to thunderbird

Hi, Arleen,

I think you have to hit enter on the list of contacts if I remember correct. You'll see a list of your contacts. Arrow down until you get to the one you want to get rid of. Use the applications key and arrow down to delete. That should get rid of that contact.

Hope this helps.

Hi

Go into the mail app and when you see your messages you will then need to tab a few times until you hear switch to people button then press the enter key or space bar.

When it opens tab to When the next screen comes up tab about 4 times until you get to list of contacts.

You can then arrow down the list pick a person then use the application key then arrow down to delete and press the enter key it will ask you like are you sure then delete them out.

They will be gone then.

hope that helps.

Re: something odd aobut nvda latest and Firefox 67

And the question is, why did Firefox decide to use a nonstandard command?  Control tab is the standard and has been for years.  Is this disregard of proper accessibility or is there a good reason for it?

Ctrl  + 8
Ctrl + 9 (go to the rightmost tab)

All numbers above are on the keyboard side, not the NumPad side.

Having said all that, Ctrl + Tab will still work if you enable it. Go to Tools, Options and select the first check box in the Tabs Section. No guarantee Firefox will remember this when updating to a new version. So, won't hurt familiarizing with Ctrl + PageUp/Down.

Hi, Arleen,

I think you have to hit enter on the list of contacts if I remember correct. You'll see a list of your contacts. Arrow down until you get to the one you want to get rid of. Use the applications key and arrow down to delete. That should get rid of that contact.

Hope this helps.

We'll see what others report.  It sounds like a Firefox problem, but we don't know that.  Have you tested with another screen-reader to see if the same problem exists?

For now, you may want to work around the problem by opening pages not in different tabs but in different windows which you can probably alt tab among.

Control+tab is what I should have said, because that is the truth. I’m running Windows 10 1809. I’m running NVDA alpha-17329,b73e3426. This has started happening in Firefox 67. I don’t remember it occurring before.

It is almost as if the command to move from tab to tab isn’t working properly every time it is used. Pardon me for giving bad information about my own issue.

When you alt tab, what doesn't work?  Alt tab is the command to move from one opened window to another.  It has nothing specific to do with Firefox.  So what happens in firefox that is not as it should be?  Are you talking about having more than one firefox Window opened or something else?

So in other words, you want to add her to a blacklist, not ablock list, but a blacklist, you might want to try right clicking on her address and see what's there, good luck.

Arlene,

Are you asking how to purge an e-mail address from your Contacts?   If so, that's the People app that works hand-in-hand with the Mail App.   If you mean blocking mail from a given address I have no idea whether the Mail App supports that or not.
