Hi,

Partly caused by the Delphi toolkit the app is written in. Take a look at the following thread from nvda-spl list:

Hi everyone,

StationPlaylist add-on 19.06 (stable) and 18.09.9 (long-term) will go out to add-on users tomorrow (May 19th). These releases includes improvements for supporting SPL Encoder and Streamer, along with incorporating more changes from more recent NVDA releases.

Note: SPL add-on 19.06 (stable) requires Studio 5.20 and later. Add-on 18.09.9 will continue to support Studio 5.1x.

Cheers,

Joseph

Hi,

I do not get this and I am using thw latest win10     app assentials with the latest NVDA both on my laptop and my imac.  I did get this message some time ago but not now.

Th only difference is that my laptop is running win10 1809 with all updates and the imac is running is 1903 release preview.

As a side note, I have NVDA set to announce currsor shape change, but this is not happening on either machine.  I am wondering if this a change at some point in windows?  Thanks.

Hello Ralf,

Here is the procedure:

In Total Commander:

Ctrl+f to go to ftp

Tab twice to reach New Connection and press Enter

First edit box should be "Connection Details" (I hope it corresponds, because I have Total Commander in Italian). This
is where ou should enter the connection name for future use.

Tab once to reach Host Name (not readable

Then tab three times, and you reach Username (not readable)

Tab once and you reach Password (it doesn't say Password, but it says something like "Textbox protected"

Tab twice and you'll find another silent textbox; I don't know what it
should be...

Tab again and another silent editbox will appear.

Tab once and there's a button that isn't spoken.

That's all.

Hello Jarek,

I didn't know there was an add-on for Total Commander and NVDA.

It would be interesting to see if it makes some parts of the ftp
connection settings.

Where did you find the add-on, please?

Thaks, ciao,

Ollie

Hello,

I have written an addon for Total Commander 32bit and 64bit.
You can download it here:
https://github.com/Novalis7747/totalcmd-enhanced/raw/master/totalcm
d-0.6.2.nvda-addon

It has some features and it speaks left/right also for the 64bit
version.

Cheers,
   Ralf

Greetings to all
I have both Free Commander and Total Commander installed on my
computer.
I thought Nvda would announce the panels at Total Commander, but it
wasn't.
When I press Nvda + T, only the Total Commander window is reported.
The Tab key does not report panels.
So I want to ask if any of you are using Total Commander, and
whether it will ever be implemented into Nvda by announcing panels
in Total Commander.

I've given feedback to Microsoft about having an accessibility ready category in the windows store and they said they would certainly look into it. As to your initial question, there is not a site like AppleVis for windows but I am sure we could make an open source wiki or similar.

Hi,

There is a Windows 10 forum where we do discuss apps like this:

Hi all,

Well I’m wondering if there’s a list or a site like applevis but for windows 10 apps? Does anybody know? I’m cureous because I’ve seen tunein radio on the windows 10 app store and was wondering if it was accessible but that then led meto the question of whetherthere’s a win 10 apps mailing list or website. I know this isn’t strictly NVDA related but equally I know there are a lot of knowledgeable people on this list. I’m also not on the chat list as I don’t want my emails spammed with pointless messages. So feel free to reply personally to this message rather than on list if people think this is appropriate.

Many thanks all.

Hi Ollie,

I'm the author of this addon and use ftp as well. I never missed anything, lol.
Can you give me a step by step description about what text boxes you are speaking and where I can find them? I can then
try to make them read.

Cheers,
Ralf

Thanks Jarek.

I've installed it, but it doesn't tackle the unreadable edit boxes in FTP. It doesn't really matter, because I'm so used
to them, but it might be difficult for others.

I've been in contact with Christian Ghisler, the dev of Total Commander for many years now, and he had explained why
those text boxes cannot be read by screen readers, but I don't remember the technical explanation he gave me.

Ciao,

Ollie
