According to my app I’m running 19.02 can’t see a 19.02.1 I’m using the latest stable NVDA v2018.4.1. I just tried the check for addon updates and it didn’t say anything.

Hi everyone, For users of Add-on Updater: if you are using NVDA alpha build 16682 and later, there exists a bug in Add-on Updater that prevents you from installing future add-on updates. I have pushed an update to this add-on, but the thing is, you must apply the patch manually if you are indeed running alpha snapshots (those running 2018.4.1 are not affected).
If you happen to be running alpha build 16682 and later, go to addons.nvda-project.org, select Add-on Updater, and download stable version. If the version you get is 19.02.1, you’re good to go. For those using 2018.4.1 or an earlier alpha snapshot, I highly encourage you to update to Add-on Updater 19.02.1 via Add-on Updater itself.
Thanks. Cheers, Joseph

Re: bug with nvda selection
Gene
This isn't a bug. You must move to the last
letter of the last word before copying to the clipboard. If you are moving
by word, you are moving to the beginning of the word and must move by character
to the last character.

I got nothing last night before retiring. As of a few moments ago I got the group of three, but even after exiting NVDA and restarting there's been no fourth as a single item.

Sile
Hello, I haven’t tried this with the latest version of Thunderbird. But I often manage to do this by building the list in notepad, with commas as delimiters. Then I copy and paste it into the box in Thunderbird.

Brian's Mail list account <bglists@...>
As a generic bit of advice for all email clients. I have found mail lists in the Microsoft and Tbird email programs sometimes do not send to all the recipients for no good reason.
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
This may work in Tbird but not tried it. Get every email you want in your mailing list into a text editor like notepad. shove a comma between them with no spaces, and leave the last one with nothing at the end. Then have this text file where you can get at it easily. When you want to send to a list and have that list actually send, cut and paste the text into the field you want, to cc bcc whatever, and put your own email into the to field to give a confidence check. Then send the mail. Brian bglists@blueyonder.co.uk Sent via blueyonder. Please address personal E-mail to:- briang1@blueyonder.co.uk, putting 'Brian Gaff' in the display name field.

Re: NVDA and Excel
Hi,
I think I'm having similar, if not exactly the same, issue. Basically, in Excel, when typing in a cell NVDA won't announce the character when I pressed the backspace key, or when I used the left/right arrow keys to move through the content of the cell. In addition, when I start typing into a cell, NVDA would say 'unknown'.

Joseph Lee's add-ons: mandatory update for add-ons to be released in the next few hours
#addonrelease
Hi everyone,
For users of my add-ons: in a few hours I’ll be releasing updates to various add-ons, including Enhanced Touch Gestures, Golden Cursor, Systray List and others. Today’s updates are mandatory because they will make these add-ons compatible with work that was just approved for inclusion in NVDA.
The following add-ons are affected:
Updates to these add-ons will show up via Add-on Updater soon.
For ones not listed (Add-on Updater, stable version of StationPlaylist, and Windows 10 App Essentials), they are affected to some degree if you are using older versions of those add-ons.
What happens if you do not install updates for add-ons listed above: there may come a time when NVDA alpha snapshot users will find that these add-ons are not working, caused by changes to NVDA itself and use of old add-on releases (I’m giving you an early warning so you’ll know what to do now).
Thanks. Cheers, Joseph

Hope you wouldn't mind it. This is an advice I give whenever I see something like your message. Maybe you might want to just write above the quoted one. I'm sure that, doing the way you are right now, most of the people just don't see what you wrote because they just don't feel like arrowing down many many times to see what you have to say. So maybe you'll be better doing what I advised. However after all, it's still up to you :) Em 30/01/2019 23:33, chris miles

Re: a possible focus problem in excel 2016
Quentin Christensen
Hi Alexandre, As others have noted, there are more efficient ways to achieve what you are trying to do here. Two others: 1. Move the focus to a cell in the column you wish to delete 2. Press CONTROL+SPACEBAR to select the current column. 3. Press CONTROL+MINUS to delete the column OR 1. Move the focus to a cell in the column you wish to delete 2. Press the APPLICATIONS KEY to open the context menu 3. Press D for "Delete" 4. DOWN ARROW to "entire column" and press ENTER. You can also select the column, open the context menu and press D and it will delete the column. Aside from all of that, the reason what you were originally trying to do isn't working, is that the current "object" is considered to be the entire grid of cells on the worksheet, so when you move the mouse to the object, it moves to the centre of the visible worksheet. I think that is as accurate as it can be with the current implementation. It may be possible to make this more accurate in future. Regards Quentin.

Re: Thunderbird Distribution list question
Lisa,
I don't even know how you got to 3 entries before having problems. I just spent about 15 minutes trying to get to a new item in the edit dialog for a List under Thunderbird and it was not easy. I finally happened upon the following, see if it works for you. After you've entered the latest address to the list, hit the left mouse button or NVDA's equivalent, NumPad Divide [desktop keyboard]. This creates a blank next entry in the list directly beneath the one you've just entered, then you can hit TAB to have focus thrown to that blank entry. When you've entered the last address you need to enter, hitting TAB without doing the left mouse click will throw focus to the OK button to save the list. If you accidentally didn't create the next list entry, this is where you'll be thrown when you hit TAB. You can SHIFT+TAB to get back to the last entry you made, then hit END to get to the end of that e-mail address you entered, then follow the usual procedure of left clicking (or equivalent) to create the next blank entry, to which you can then TAB. -- Brian - Windows 10 Home, 64-Bit, Version 1809, Build 17763 A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep. ~ Saul Bellow, To Jerusalem and Back
