This just suddenly stopped this morning. It had been working. I am running Goldwave 5.7.

I had also installed GoldWave 6.3 but decided not to keep it.

That is correct, the search element of Bible Seeker is not very accessible.  I like because it has the KJV and the Spanish Reina Valera which I like and I enjoy the Matthew Henry commentary.  On my IPhone, I use the Bible.is which is very good.

Best of luck.

Dear Pascal,

Although it is a very basic program and does not have the more recent, copyrighted, versions of the Bible, it is the best I have found. However, having recently moved to a new computer and a new version of Windows 10, I now have some difficulty in navigating through a list of passages in a Find window. On the old computer, I could simply arrow my way through the list and use the tab key to move to the fields that allow me to do a new search. Now I have to use the number pad to navigate through the list of found passages and I cannot tab out of that list.

Warmly,

Can you not change its priority in the symbols settings? I know it works the other way as I turned off the greater than and less than symbols as a long time user of Usenet, it was really annoying to have them spoken at the start of quoted lines.

In a lot of places in the listing of items, if guess list number on you can get 1 2 or three more reported than are actually there. Is this what you mean?
Ie you can never get to the others as they don't really exist. Sometimes 1 unknown will be reported as well, but again, I imagine nvda knows there is something there but its not flagged up so it just says unknown. For example every time an add on update comes in, it says there are two, but there is only 1 it just gets it wrong.

Hello guys,
Quite a while ago I posted about an issue regarding Firefox working with
NVDA, where these little guys weren't wanting to read properly the
options - plugins, extensions and such - as we went through them.
Well as said before by Brian - or at least one of the Brians we have
here right now (LOL) - this is fortunately fixed, for what I'm
infinitely thankful.
Trouble is, now when navigating through the options, I'm hearing
something like that:
Plugins - 1 of 7
Extensions - 2 of 7
And so on until the fourth item.
And here's where thing gets weird. I just can't keep arrowing down to
see the other 3 options that would be there according with the NVDA
items' numbering.
So, all of this to ask, is anyone having this behavior using the latest
Firefox version?
That's all guys.
Thanks.

I can't tell you that, but why not just go there and book mark it?

Aside from that, the NVDA site isn't organized well.  it is often much easier and more efficient to do a google search for what you want.  for example, if you want to see information from the official NVDA source about more voices or synthesizers for NVDA, if you do a google search for voices for NVDA or synthesizers for NVDA, you will see a link in the search results for the official NVDA page you are looking for.  You can verify the link before following it because Google shows the link below the link to the page.

The link is a Github (spelling) link.

Hi, if using windows 7 on a machine with older versions, ie 2003 office for example. Things can slow up and even hang if formatting info is on and strange things do happen at the page boundary in both browse and edit modes. Interesting about draft mode, not tried this, assuming its supported in the older versions of word, but certainly I find that doing a view at 200 percent and making it print mode seems to significantly speed things up .

Subject: [nvda] very odd issue: NVDA reads hidden text in firefox preferences

hi,

STR:

1. open firefox options in version 66.0 or above.

2. arrow through the webpage like preferences. You will see text that should not be visible to a sighted person, all possible dialogues.

Example1:

Startup
Restore previous session
Warn you when quitting the browser
Always check if Firefox is your default browser
Firefox is not your default browser
Firefox is currently your default browser

example2:

Firefox Updates
Keep Firefox up to date for the best performance, stability, and security.
Version 66.0.2 (64-bit) What’s new
Show Update History…
Checking for updates…Applying update…Update failed. Download the latest versionUpdates disabled by your system administrator
Firefox is up to date
Check for updates
Firefox is being updated by another instanceUpdates available at You can not perform further updates on this system. Restarting…

Can an NVDA dev explain why this is happening? I can see this on several websites as well.

Why not put it on Dropbox and put the link to it in the email here?

Hi,

Bible Seeker is a very accessible program and works with NVDA. It comes
with several Bible versions and the Matthew Henry Commentary. You can
Google it. If you cannot find it, let me know and I will email you the
file.

Dear All,

I asked this question a number of years ago and am now checking if there is
any update. Does anyone know of a Bible program that is truly accessible?

Warmly,

Ralph

Yes exactly the same here, which is why I ditched it in favour of Dropbox.

Now of course on windows 7 here Dropbox has some issues but not insurmountable ones.

Hi all,
I recently start trying out the new backup and sync for Windows by google.
Yet, I found the following problems:
lots of unlabeled buttons durring installing and within the set up window
login screen unable to progress as tabbing with NVDA cannot found the text field to input id and password.
I cannot go further cause I cannot even complete sign in progress with NVDA.
Are there anyone else do experience the same problem?
I have contact Google accessibility support and they told me that they couldn't reproduce the same issues LOL.
William

Incidentally Jaws 2018 will not work with Waterfox any more, at least not here but it does with the new Firefox, however, nveda works with both.

I saw a message saying that NVDA counts all headingts, or something similar. I'm not sure why it thinks there are seven items but this isn't an NVDA problem. I wanted to make that clear because it wasn't before. I just tried with an old version of JAWS and an old version of firefox that is compatible with the old version of JAWS. The same incorrect information is given so this is some error with the NVDA interface or code.

That's been the case as long as I've used Firefox. It appears that Firefox is sending information to the screen-reader giving an incorrect number of items. Everything is in the list that I would expect to be in the list and I've never seen any other item discussed whenever I've looked up or seen a discussion of how to do anything in this area of the program.

Hello guys,
Quite a while ago I posted about an issue regarding Firefox working with NVDA, where these little guys weren't wanting to read properly the options - plugins, extensions and such - as we went through them.
Well as said before by Brian - or at least one of the Brians we have here right now (LOL) - this is fortunately fixed, for what I'm infinitely thankful.
Trouble is, now when navigating through the options, I'm hearing something like that:
Plugins - 1 of 7
Extensions - 2 of 7
And so on until the fourth item.
And here's where thing gets weird. I just can't keep arrowing down to see the other 3 options that would be there according with the NVDA items' numbering.
So, all of this to ask, is anyone having this behavior using the latest Firefox version?
That's all guys.
Thanks.

Cheers,
Marcio
