Phonetic spelling again

Janet Brandly

Thanks for the info, Jean. I went through the users’ guide and the quick reference documents and didn’t find anything specifically about activating phonetic spelling. Is there a way to do this from a laptop without using a numpad? Where can I find this info in the NVDA documentation?
Thanks,
Janet

I don't have an android phone myself but I think one of my sisters has one. I doubt that she can remove any of the programs because they're part of the phone.

using and installing apps is easy without play store.
simply i download installer file of my desired programs and install
them without forcing to have always the last versions of programs and
i can control and use my desired versions of softwares without
updating them specially automatic update!
i heard rooting phones is dangerous, but i really wish to remove this
apps and use anything that i wish.

You will not be able to remove most preinstalled programs, as many

the device itself. Even going to great lengths, such as rooting
the device, to remove them gains you nothing, as system space is
not switched over to user space anyway.

Re: Adding comments in Word

Sylvie Duchateau

Hello again Ollie,
If you enable the browsing mode in word with Nvda+spacebar, you can jump to one comment/annotation by pressing a.
When you are on the comment you want to see, right click with the appropriate key or shift+f10 and use the down and up arrow keys. You will find a menu entry to modify, answer, delete or mark the comment as closed.
You can also display the list of comments in pressing nvda+F7, you can choose to display the list of annotations and browse through the different comments.
If you don't know the keystroke, when NVDA says "has a comment", you can have it read in pressing nvda+alt+C.
Enjoy!

Hello Ollie,

When you finish writing the comment, just press escape to return to the text.

Hope this helps.

Hello all,

A friend of mine is a teacher. His students do their homework in Word, and he needs to corect them.

He'd like to insert comments to explain his corrections, and has found the keyboard shortcut to do so, but doesn't know how to return to the main text.

Would  anyone know if there's a shortcut to exit the comment and return to the place in the text where he left off?

Thanks in advance; I don't have Word installed, so I can't help him.

Ciao,

Ollie

Re: discord accessibility

I actually disabled all of that on my server. and disabled most functions except text chat, so no one will be able to I think use that to at least send tts messages or something like that.

Take care

Discord has one thing interest me as a visually impaired, that is the integration of tts. Though I have not work out how to make it speak, but it seemed quite interesting.

It's not. Please try:
www.writemonkey.com
& download the 2.7 version.

OWL looks dead. I've been looking for markdown writing software that just so

lazy and not do everything manually. I've found the below. I have no idea if
it is accessible though. The best markdown editors and blog publishers are
for the Mac, strangely enough.

the new wordpress editor

This will come to wordpress.com members very soon, so I am sharing the below blog post from the wordpress accessibility team talking about their role, and things to come. This new editor will effect wordpress, self hosted blogs, and wordpress.com blogs as well.
