Why did you decide to be in the insider program?  That is asking for bugs and problems and is intended for those who want to test unreleased versions of Windows for problems.  It is something like beta testing but I'm not sure if the code you are testing is even considered beta yet.

NVDA key+n, t for tools, then press a twice. You then press enter. That will definitely do the trick.

Clock Addon doesn't save settings, nor does f12 work for time and date

Gerardo Corripio

Anyone of you guys have the latest Clock AddOn_ because f12 doesn’t say either the time or date, but it does report upon the 3rd press, the number of the day in the year, and how many days are left to the end of the year.

Also when setting up the AddON from within NVDA menú/Preferences/Options/clock settings, when it comes time to sabe the settings, they don’t appear to sabe< when I want to reopen again NVDA menú to check the settings, I get an error that tnere’s already a Settings dialogue open< to close it first before attemtping to go back into the NVDA settings área. Any ideas what might be going on?

I downloaded it today just fine. I really doubt the newest Insider build has nothing to do with it. I would do as suggested and submit your log by hitting NVDA plus F1 and copy and send to the list.

How recently did you upgrade to the insider build? You can roll back within
the first month, I think.

If the addon can't load, NVDA won't tell you that. Instead, it simply won't
work. What you need to do is go to the NVDA menu, Tools, View log.
From there, you'll be able to either see what's wrong or copy the log so
someone else can interpret it.

Hi. I’m running nvda version 2018.4. I’m starting to think it might be an issue with the machine itself. It’s running the latest insider build, and I got the new nvda version before Iinstalled the windows update. ,

What is the NVDA version you’re using? As I noted in release notes for 19.01, today’s release requires NVDA 2018.4.

Re: I can't find where in nvda I can check for add on updates

Hi,

This is the author of Add-on Updater speaking…

What is the NVDA version you’re using? As I noted in release notes for 19.01, today’s release requires NVDA 2018.4.

Cheers,

Joseph

Have you ever tried reinstalling the add-on? Maybe it can solve the problem.
Also what's your NVDA version?

Thanks. My other machine has the check for add on update option in the nvda tools menu, but on this laptop that option is not there. I dont know why.

Go to the NVDA Menu (NVDA+N)
Search for Tools
Enter on it and up arrow til check for add-on updates, which you probably will need to do just once.
You can, of course, down arrow until you find this option, but particularly I prefer this other one I said.
