I see that you weren't describing using the mouse.  You are talking about using the command to activate a control that the navigation by object is set to.  I don't know what happens if you move the mouse and then left click.

If you're using NVDA, getting to the purchase link is about as simple as it can get when web designs are broken.  All you need to do is tab until you find the buy now button/link, then use the NVDA key in combination with the shift and the numpad minus key (the one in the upper right corner). That will move the NVDA cursor to the keyboard position.  Then press NVDA-numpad enter, and the button will be pressed.  I've already writte this on this list at least twice before, and yet, it keeps coming up.  I have no idea why amazon broke their site, and I have no idea why this method works with the key combinations it does, but nonetheless, I've been quite successfully purchasing and borrowing via kindle unlimited for several months now since the change happened, and I assure this method works just fine.  I read several books each month, and kindle unlimited is a large portion of that read count, so I know of which I speak.  Nothing says you need to tab from the top of the page, use the page down key, use the arrows, use anything you like to get close to the purchase/borrow links, then for the final adjustment, use the tab key, it will get you where you need to be, then use the NVDA-shift-numpad minus to put the NVDA cursor there, then use the NVDA-numpad enter to click the button, it works every time.

Although I saved basic html as default, when I return to my gmail

Hi, Arleen,

Is there a way to make replies come to the top of a message in basic HTML? I used to use gmail's site and whenever I replied to a message, it would go to the bottom of the original message instead of the top. That's when I switched to an email client like outlook.

Rosemarie

Hi, Arlene here. Sorry I use IE and I am allowed to switch to Basic htm or whatever it is.  So, IE and Chrome will allow you to choose.I find HTMl is more easier then Standard!I too don't care for google's features. Just as long as I can read and delete mail too. but you should check your trash folder to clean it. Cause Google can be a pack rat.

Re: NVDA and Bitcoin

You're talking about Bitcoin mining, which is different than just buying BTC. Fractions of bitcoin are called Satoshies, and I can't remember how small of an amount you can get at once. Actually I found an explainer.

"it is possible to buy less than one bitcoin.
Each bitcoin is divisible to the 8th decimal place, meaning each bitcoin can be split into 100,000,000 pieces. Each unit of bitcoin, or 0.00000001 bitcoin, is called a satoshi."

Re: Amazon Buying Links Disappeared

You can get to it with the navigator object, but you still can't click on it. It's been this way for at least a couple of months.
