This is fine, in some places on the net they use the coma and not the full stop char. now 140,21 in waterfox/firefox is read out as you would expect. in chrome its 14021. So I have often found things costing 500000 or something rediculous when they can be 50.00 or 500.00. This seems to be a bit of an issue. Now granted its only 1 site, but its a site I use a lot. I am not sure if there is a plugin to treat in certain cases the coma being used as a deciman point where numbers are concerned being converted to a point. Of course it goes without saying that this is only on displayed items. When you buy one its converted normally, go figure. Its my only gripe with chromium brousers. To be honest, what I may have to do, is run each group of sites in its own session, followed by forums that have trouble in a multitabbed environment. Thats fine but to be honest, even if this doesn't work, I have had to turn off hardware exceleration, and autoupdates just to get things not to crash. If things continue to crash, I will try turning off image auto load and finally javascript but its getting to the point that I may have to abandon the entire mozilla family. I'd really like a brouser I can use with a no frill interface. That is, something that just brouses, has things like ublock, secured https, maybe a privacy manager and sound, or if I can't have that, something like internet explorer but not be internet explorer. I do like youtube videos so it would need to process some of these streaming things but heck, if I had a simple brouser to brouse the net and something else for other things, I am willing to take it.

Absolutely. Sometimes, it may be easier to simply ask the question here on the list. We’ve got an armada of knowledgeable folks up here that will gladly help you out. What exactly are you looking to learn, That is the question on the net? Are you transitioning from Jaws to NVDA? Are you trying to figure out how do the different browsers function with NVDA? But the answers will come once you ask us questions about what it is you want to learn. Hopefully this makes sense, it’s late here in the east.

opening a facebook page became a crash nightmare with it. About the chrome navigating history entries, Man if that's not one of the biggest NVDA and crome accessibility shortcomings. I have to quit NVDA, start JAWS, open the jaws find feature and put "yes" for yesterday ETC, in the edit field and it finds the entries there pretty well. I couldn't make NVDA do the same .

Cathy Anne Murtha is a very well regarded instructor. I did a search of her web site for Internet Explorer and here is a link to the results. https://www.blind.training/?s=internet It appears she only has material for the Internet using JAWS but browsing will be almost identical. Since I don't know what you want to learn, you might wish to contact her and ask if the book deals with the topics you want to learn. Also, since I don't know what you want to learn, I don't know if a book is the best way to proceed. You might be able to learn what you want by asking questions here or on the chat list, whichever is appropriate for what you want to learn. Or one or two hours of personal instruction might be a good approach. If you give us an idea of what you want to learn, you may get better help for your specific needs. Gene

Aside from that, I don't see anything cluttered about the Chrome interface. Browsing is browsing when you are using Browse mode or the Virtual PC Cursor, different names for the same thing. The interface is different but the only place where I find that an annoyance is when working with history. and I still haven't found a way to go back more than about a day in Chrome history. The chief among them is the use of gracenote which is really cool something in a hurry itunes will do it for me. If I want to buy something I want and can't find it other places, then itunes will have it. Right, so the biggest issue I have with itunes then is that it seems to add its own markups onto prices of things I know are cheaper in other digital stores. For example, are all written with the area code in parentheses, (814) 536-2250, or all written as area code hyphen exchange hyphen last 4 digits, 814-536-2250, or some other format that's consistent? I have a couple synthesizers that do not pronounce phone numbers as individual digits. Are there settings or speech dictionary entries that would correct this problem?

I use both PotPlayer and iTunes. PotPlayer is quite accessible now, from my tests. I also use Foobar, but mainly for converting iTunes m4a files into mp3 files.

There is an issue on github of both waterfox and nvda about how the brouser is really flakey in the latest version. Aparently firefox has the same issues, at first I thought it was just a couple sites, but now I can be brousing along and it may be blogspot, github, another site, and things will become unresponsive. I thought I'd fixed it this morning but no I hadn't. If you open sites each in a new tab things do not crash but eventually if you open things in the same window things will crash and become unresponsive.
