ccleaner update

Hi all.

Here is another version of ccleaner.ini

https://www.dropbox.com/s/kbbbqs8blbyuev9/ccleaner.ini?dl=0

I am going to try to contact piriform support to for one thing tell them about the issues with quickclean, the fact there is no way to turn it off and even if I turn it off it will turn itself back on.

Re: NVDA and Bitcoin

I do know this much about bitcoin. It all depends on where you transfer them  after you buy them. The exchange, the service that converted your currency to BTC, can keep them for you. However, this is not secure because quite a few exchanges have been hacked over the years.

You can also transfer them to a hardware and/or software wallet. I haven't actually bought bitcoin, so I really don't know the state of software wallets when it comes to being usable with NVDA. It might be something worth experimenting with, with an extremely small amount of Bitcoin.

I'm writing a storyline for my creative writing course and it involves Bitcoins ... I figure it's probably best to get an idea of the process of buying whatever fraction of a Bitcoin £10 buys, and tracking it's value over the course of a couple of weeks.

Any ideas and suggestions gratefully received :)

Hi Rob. I don’t have any problem suing Dropbox 62 right now. What seems to be the problem? I don’t understand.

I have just updated to the latest nvda version. I have tried using my Apple Magic Keyboard with the computer and it does not work. It works fine in the same instance with Jaws. I cannot confirm whether it worked prior to the latest update as I had never used it before with nvda.

My Logitech keyboard works okay with nvda. As the Apple keyboard works with Jaws I am assuming that something is missing between nvda and the keyboard. I cannot get it to even arrow around the desktop screen.

Have any of you got an Apple Magic Keyboard that you could try to see if you can duplicate what is happening with mine.

Kind Regards

Why not switch list mail to GMail.  It may be too much trouble to switch other mail and your current service may be adequate for that.

I don't use Word and I don't know how NVDA refers to the quick navigation mode versus the standard document reading and editing mode.  What happens if you use insert space two times to toggle whatever mode you are using off and on.  does that solve the problem?  it would certainly be faster and more convenient than closing and opening the document.

I found something interesting. First, I reset all of the keyboard shortcuts which seemed to solve the problem. I then discovered that I use the NVDA find function, the key combination to move by page stops working. If I then close and open the document again, moving by page works fine. I have no idea why this is. (I am still using NVDA 18.3 because I am concerned about my Eloquence voices no longer working.)

I have noticed a large decrease in emails from my groups.io lists in the last few days, and as none are in the spam bin, and I notice some I have sent have arrived and others have not I thought I'd do a random test like this in case they are being silently swallowed by some anti spam measure my isp has introduced.
As I say, do not put a reply in the list, but you are welcome to tell me you see it or mention that you have or have not been seeing the same, but personally to this address is fine.

Hi

Try using NVDA+f2 followed by Control+pagedown.  This is the NVDA passthrough key combination and would prove that NVDA is somehow locking control+pagedown from Word.

CheersChris

You searched on the NVDA Issues page?  That means no-one has yet written an issue, you are most welcome to create a new issue with the "New issue" button (if the button isn't there, you might need to log in or create an account, it is free and from memory only requires an email address).

There are several ways to provide suggestions and feedback for NVDA.  The most official is the GitHub page:

From that main page you can use the edit box to search for words relating to your suggestion or issue to see if it has come up before.  EG: here are the results of a search for "bard": https://github.com/nvaccess/nvda/issues?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aopen+bard

So nobody has yet filed an issue for Bard apparently.  That can be done by using the "New Issue" button: https://github.com/nvaccess/nvda/issues/new  On the new issue screen there are two edit boxes, one for the title (try to be descriptive but in about one line, eg "NVDA only reads part of the annotation in the BARD app" (I'm not personally familiar with the BARD app, so maybe someone who is would be more familiar with what you mean by annotation).  The other edit box has instructions in it for what information to include, but basically follow the prompts in the text for what to include.

You can also report issues here or by email to us (info@...).  The advantage of reporting directly on GitHub is that not only NV Access staff see those, but other contributors to the project, who may be able to help and may have an interest in writing the particular code.  The advantage of reporting issues here in the group is that if you are not sure whether something is a bug or not (eg if there is a trick to reading annotations in Bard that you are not aware of), someone will often read it sooner and be able to respond (if anyone knows).

Regards

Quentin.
