This then explains why my sighed colleagues think I'm winding them up on the studio machine when they turn on and the screen is upside down. Pity there is no lock screen orientation in Windows!

the windows key combination is ctrl+alt+up or down arrow. since it is
the sa shortcut for table navigation in NVDA, you press insert+f2 then
press ctrl+alt+up arrow.

Does Pastel work with NVDA?

Many companies in South Africa use Pastel for financial accounting and book keeping.  Therefore, it would be a benefit if NVDA did work with Pastel.

Kind regards

I've got it, but thanks anyway.

Here's what happened...
The orientation of my screen got flipped inadvertently-- not a problem for me but a problem for sighted onlookers.
NVDA continued to work just fine while the orientation had the screen upside down.
The combination control+alt+up arrow was not working to flip the screen orientation back to normal.
Then I re-booted the laptop thinking this would set things back to normal, but it did not.
So, I unloaded NVDA and then used control+alt+up arrow and that did the trick making the screen return to the normal orientation. I re-started NVDA after that.

This laptop is running Windows 7 and my NVDA is the most recent regular release. Strange.

Re: Windows key combination to change screen orientation

It has been said that CTRL+ALT+UP ARROW (or one of the arrow keys, depending on what the orientation currently is and how it's flipped) will work, but they don't on my Windows 10 system

If you're running Windows 10 I would suggest that you go to Settings, System, Display Pane then find the Orientation dropdown and choose "Landscape" from the choices, as virtually all monitors and laptop screens are set to show a screen that's wider than it is tall, and that's Landscape.  I just played with both Portrait options and both Landscape options and straight Landscape (not flipped Landscape) is "the normal screen."

The below is the closest thing I could find. I've been told it's very

well, but I like writing offline, without a browser open.

Re: Integrating an existing website with Wordpress

Hello, John. I'm assuming (& that's always dangerous, because you know
what you do when you do that), that you're wanting to keep the
existing site but make a supplemental site in addition to it, ie, a
blog, a store, or similar. So what you do here is install WordPress to
a separate subdirectory, ie, blog, store, etc. Then, code a link to
the WordPress site on your homepage's menu, & you're good to go.

Integrating an existing website with Wordpress

John J. Boyer

Thanks to all those who have been answering my questions about Wordpress. The domain where I plan to run Wordpress
already has a website. How do I integrate the content of this site with wordpress and then set up a blog?

Thanks,
John
