can I extract installed add-on and install it on another pc?

Aschalew Byness

I have a private nvda add-on installed. I don’t currently have the
setup file though. Now, I want my friend to have this private add-on.
Is there any way with which I can extract the installed add-on and
install it on my friend’s pc?

Based upon this particular observation, it is suspected that what is being referred to is the hacked version of Eloquence, which cannot be discussed under the rules for the group.

I believe that Tiflotecnia has the only legal true add-on:  https://www.tiflotecnia.net/NVDAExtensionGlobalPlugin.nvda-addon

And that Code Factory sells the only legal SAPI 5 Eloquence for Windows:  https://codefactoryglobal.com/app-store/eloquence-for-windows/

Due to the concern that this is discussing the hacked/cracked Eloquence add-on, this topic is being locked.  If the original poster knows this is not the case, please send a message to the owner address providing the source of the add-on with which you're having difficulty.  We will re-open the topic if appropriate.

Hello Ibrahim.
The reason you cannot install eloquence addon is because NVDA moved Two Python 3 and not all the add-ons are Compatible.
You can visit the NVDA addons Official website to check the status of the compatible add ONS that you can install.

Subject: [nvda] Installing AdOns

Hello:
How do I install AdOns on my NVDA screen reader.
I've just actually installed the latest version of the NVDA, and I also attempted to install Eloquence auto language switching. The eloquence was said to be incompatible when I tried to install it.
I've been using the eloquence for about three years without issues.
So, what must have gone wrong.
Of course, I did have to uninstall NVDA because I was having problems with it, before I subsequently downloaded and installed the latest version, the version I've always been prompted to download.
Please how can I get around this issue. How can I fix this problem.
Thanks and cheers.
Ibrahim.

I don't have an answer (mostly because, at the same time, I need to ask: what is Google Actions Console?)  I had a quick look but as I haven't created any projects it didn't have any project IDs etc there.  Google now has a disability answer desk you can contact:  https://support.google.com/accessibility/answer/7641084?co=GENIE.Platform%3DAndroid&hl=en It might be worth asking them.

In fact, what can we do with a screen reader on https://console.actions.google.com ? ;)

I tried  using Google Chrome.

The project ID looks like not existing, we have unusable menus.

Oh yes, I was able to create a project lol.

If someone has already used it I am really interested.

And who could I contact about accessibility related issues on this service? There are a lot of wirk ;)

For those with errors - if you restart the computer from the start menu, does it make a difference?  If you don't encounter it after that, it could be one of those random glitches we sometimes see after updating and before restarting.  If you do keep seeing it, if you could set your log level to Debug, restart NVDA with add-ons disabled, recreate the issue and send me a copy of your log, we'll have a look and see what is going on.

Hi Larry,

I don't know why this is, but actually the Welcome screen that first loads when you first install NVDA setting is under help.  Press NVDA + N (insert + N) for the NVDA menu.  Then press h for help.  Then move down to Welcome.  You will get the reading of the welcome screen menu that loads when you first run NVDA.  On that page is a check box to 'show this welcome screen every time NVDA starts' check box.  Check this and every time NVDA start, this welcome screen will be displayed.

Go to the nvda home page and go to the add ons section, then see what add ons are compatible. What happened is your installed a new nvda which had to have no code, and the add ons had to change. So you need to update your add ons to comply with the new and wonderful nvda. Yes, I'm bias. I love the new NVDA.

I know the screen they are talking about. it is the use modifier key check boxes, keyboard layout and the OK button? I do know how how to get that back once you uncheck the box to not show it again, maybe someone knows?

I saw a message from another list member and opened the dialog from the help menu. Tabbing through it, I found the check box. If you check it again and activate the ok button, the dialog will again be shown when you run the program.

You can't assume such solutions will be available in ;programs, however.
