Not unusual I’ve seen this before
Sometimes developer uses graphic image for calendar
I have used jaws and nvda and even mac os x with the same result

Sorry, but you are not understanding...

1 - To read that type of window, NVDA uses the review cursor;
2 - You can use the review commands in both keyboard layouts. Please, read the manual since I don't use the laptop layout;
3 - If you use a recent version of NVDA, when you use a review command, Braille is automatically thetered wit review cursor , in order to the Braille display can follow the cursor and give you the information;
4 - Voice is also automatically thetered to the review cursor to allow hearing the information.

Any other question, please write to the list, but please, refere the versions of Windows and NVDA...

It has no bearing on what might be running at the time. indeed the desktop does it too, and its on both master and next. The failure mode is that when the new version tries to reboot it cannot write to the log file due to it not being let go of by the old version and no old log has been created. a small log of this is recorded in the running location of the nvda which was being updated. the updat itself works perfectly, as cancelling the error about the log file, which nvda cannot read as its not running the version can be manually rebooted.
I know i've mentioned this many times before, but I find it very annoying and simply cannot see why its happening to just me and nobody else as there is nothing strange about my windows 7 computers at all.

Well what I do not understand is that there are other ways to handle capchas.

The logical fill in the blank or the math question capcha, true a bot could do this to but its a random question so hmmm we can read it.

Other things are that one has missed filling in a mandatory field and it simply won't let you change the field till its fixed. To be honest that is one heck of a form. I would think you might need a long lie down after completing all the parts of it. I did not find any dates to change anywhere but assumed that the dates might well reflect things you had said elsewhere.

I haven't looked at the form yet but whenever I see such a structure, a read only edit field with no apparent way to change information when moving in the form with the keyboard, there is some sort of inaccessible means of changing the information and the read only edit field is what it says it is. It shows the results of the change you make and that's all it does. Someone may figure out a way to work with the inaccessible control or no one may. But that is very likely to be why you are seeing what you are seeing.

Thanks, but of course that is part of the problem. this particular system was only upgraded as far as Windows 7, despite my recommendation of upgrading to Windows 10.

Its not since obviously the spammers solve them already.
My other work around is to keep a special old browser that the software will run on to use oven such sites then blitz them with moans if you can get in.

Yes I would.
I use Outlook express with the patch for the later IE code, but it will not stay installed in windows 10 through a major update since Microsoft in their infinite wisdom do not like you still using it even though Microsofts email in 10 is a cut down lame heap of rubbish.
All said in the best possible taste as Kenny Everett might have said.

I think actually what happens is that programmers talk to each other and have less time to listen to the general public. I was suggesting that the new rules for raising tickets are mainly designed to reduce duplicate or hard to understand tickets. Fine but if folk get put off from raising concerns due to the apparent techy nature of the ticketing system then more bugs slip under the wire. Somebody needs to be sitting there looking at this list and the tickets and trying to prioritise things. Not everyone has the time or the brain training to do the required diagnostics and hence sometimes stuff does get through. Its not deliberate its attempting to be efficient but can lead to projects losing their common touch in my experience, a little like espeak seems to be.

Document information may make more sense for the category because more than just formatting information is presented. But if names have changed for many items in the category and in others, I suggest that such changes should be made carefully and that those other than techs should be closely involved in the changes. I'll review a list if it is sent to me. Language tends to become inaccurate and degraded over time, in my observation, as program designers change the names of things for no good reason.

Maybe we need to have an army of girlfriends we can share for this case. :-)
Actually, I'd imagine a nice real time camera view for their end might be nice, they go left, up down there, I can see the lights now.

Oh, the lights. Always the lights. Every time I talk to the ISP, it's always
the first thing they ask: "Are all the lights on on the modem? Is it
blinking?" It's gotten hilarious by this point. Now whenever a call needs to
be made to the ISP, I ask my girlfriend to do it. The problem with that is:
she hates talking to these people on the phone more than I do, and she can
see!

I have incountered this with both Att and Comcast. They are forigners
who can't speak or undrstand englih well. I told them that I am blind so I
can't tell you if their are lights on or what color they are. With att's
connect tech they would not even stay on the phone with me. I told them

chat window. They even said that after I told them that I was blind that if
I wanted to end the session that I should just click on the red x. How do
they think that I will know whear the red x is if I can't see? Why is it so
hard to understand what blind is. I guess I will have to just spell it out
for them. I am totally blind that means that I can't see anything not even
light or any shadows. If they can't comprehend that then they have no
business working in tech support.
