Re: MS Onenote

To be honest I am unsure if its easy to work with but while its not fully accessible for storage, you can get up to 2tb on icloud, true it does cost a bundle but still.

Everyone with a gmail gets a google drive.

One drive is probably the best even over dropbox because its part of the system.

There's not too much difference between the various services, though you do
get more space with some than with others for free, or when purchasing

OneNote is more a tool for dumping information in a more freeform way than
say Word, which you can store to use or come back to later. Useful if you
use that, but I think perhaps you were thinking of OneDrive rather than
OneNote.

Hi,

Eventually, yes. In the next add-on release, I’ll let the add-on “not work” when the stable version of NVDA with automatic add-on update checking feature is installed.

OK and when the automatic check for addons is added into the NVDA core, does one uninstall the AddON, so as not to have duplicate functions?

Hi David,

I foresee a potential short-term confusion, so I'll try my best to explain

what's going on with updates:

NVDA has just one version: latest stable. There are more builds than latest

stable, but for now, you don't have to worry about that. In short, there's

no need to worry about keeping multiple versions (unless you chose to have

multiple portable copies), and in case of installed version, one and only

one version will be in use at a time.

If you check for an NVDA update today, you'll either get:

* 2017.3: if you have Windows 7 original build (7600).

* 2018.2.1: if you have Windows7 SP1 (build 7601).

To check which Windows 7 build you have, open Start, type "winver" (without

quotes), and press Enter. If About Windows dialog says you have build 7601,

then you can use 2018 releases.

There are so many changes between whichever 2016 version you've got and

2018.2.1. Some of these changes may have impact on how you view browse mode

elements, hence we advised using 2018.2.1 before continuing.

Cheers,

Joseph

I also notice from recent discussion here, that buttons seem to be a bit

vague in definition as they can convey different things.

You suggested updating to the latest version of NVDA for windows 7.

How do I designate that particular choice of versions?
