its because javascript is activate by default.
i have this problem in any version of firefox and any version of nvda that i tested until now! i did not work with chrome, but activating javascript and refresh and redirect of pages, also dynamic pages, make me very confused and sad. I'm not sure what is the cause for this. Is it the patch to windows for that 10 year old bug, or something Firefox has added to all older and new versions?? Microsoft have taken all the live mail archives down as far as I can tell. There may well be people here with the archive, but in later versions they were only tub loaders and these had the word web in their file names. these can no longer be used since Microsoft have removed the files they look for.

Niche old days there was a routine in nvda to allow you to not let it initialise if xp was detected, is that still present in the code, if so then maybe just adding the line and making the windows version be the current one to make it work, admittedly that would create serious issues in other applications.

Yes as it makes the address space highlighted and copies it. there is also a small utility to do much the same in a context menu I recall.

99..99999% of the time its accessible to the point it works most of the time. The only time thats a problem is if a site used the older garbeled audio, or simply has no audio alternitive at all.

Wordpress alert
Hi.
I usually don't post as a tester of the wordpress team, however, this is an important message about wordpress accessibility. As you may or may not know wordpress is making a new engine called gutenberg. The thing is that its still not accessible even after a lot of testing and attempts to make it accessible. So its possible that wordpress may become inaccessible in v5 Messages from the devs to access team have been good so far, and final testing for access was underway, I found it really bad though and so did the access team leader. Currently we have been assured that nothing will be done till it works, but each test has gotten worse and worse navigation well its no good. Anyway, while we can't change wordpress.com for those with wordpress there is a plugin called classic editor which should be installed to stop gutenberg being run, I mean we will give them the benefit of the doubt, but reguardless I am installing the classic editor on the blogs I admin, at least we are seeing these on the test group, even though they are in a word awefull. Please post this at other lists you may want to or that would be good for this.

Update: The refreshing issue does not happen with Google Chrome. Haven't tried Edge yet. www.cordcuttersnews.com is the site in quesiton.

I couldn't say when this started, but, the site now keeps refreshing or downloading something in the background. I can hear status updates through NVDA beeping. When things refresh, I cannot hold my place on the site.
This is probably easy to fix, but, I"m not sure how at the moment. I'm using Firefox 59. It was doing this on Firefox 58 as well. I haven't yet tried with Edge, Chrome or anything else. When I do, I will report back. Any help with this is appreciated, and thanks to all in advance.
