No it won't, Apart from the aforementioned issues its a whole lot better than 57 which I could not get to even open an offline buffer here. Just needs the downloads dialogue and the page refresh bugs fixing.

Two cautionary tales, beware and a laugh.
Brian's Mail list account <bglists@...>
Firstly the latest version of Ccleaner is becoming a pest. it seems to be able to unilaterally decide to install avast anti virus without telling anyone until its too late. Unchecky did not spot it and yesterday, I twice had to take a machine back a day to get rid of it as I'm sure you are all aware how unfriendly the uninstaller is to screenreaders. Its left bits all over the machine, including in some folders labelled Cisco for some reason.
I fell that I need to warn folk about this unacceptable behaviour of ccleaner. It claims, apparently to be easy to remove but not for us. Secondly the laugh. Microsoft Security Essentials is something we use in Windows 7, but a person I know was having issues with it crashing, so he sent me a dictated email about it via his Iphone. This wonderful software has renamed this Microsoft program as Microsoft Security Squirrels. OK fine, so I had this wonderful picture of the innards of my machine with all These squirrels inside burying viruses all over the place. Brian bglists@blueyonder.co.uk Sent via blueyonder. If you only want writer, then the portable version is fine, if a little restrictive given you have no browse mode or say all etc in the document.

Re: Getting rid of beeping sound
Brian's Mail list account <bglists@...>
I'm guessing this is firefox older than 57 you are using here? I wondered about this annoying issue too. Its that a progress bar is being seen by the screenreader. I'm not sure if firefox allows you to hide it or not though. I've seen it on audio playing of podcasts too, in those cases I tend to download it, but of course on youtube, not so easy. Does full screen mode hide it?

Re: A note to all xp users here.
Brian's Mail list account <bglists@...>
Yes but that was not the thrust of the issue. The issue is the sse2 instruction set issue which has made other software, like ccleaner no longer work on amd also fail and why you cannot use firefox above 48 either.
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
Its the compiler used to make the code that no longer supports the chips. Also of course does this anti virus actually work with nvda which was why I asked on here in the first place. Have you uninstalled anything (especially Microsoft Office)? Sometimes that can cause a shared file to be unregistered when it is still needed. If so, you could try the steps in this issue: https://github.com/nvaccess/nvda/issues/2807#issuecomment-320149243

And many of them offer a massive Python infrastructure. Since NVDA is encoded in Python, I thought we could resolve these points by making a deal. Re: Getting rid of beeping sound

It's a good idea to know how to work with the
actual program interface. Here is the fast way to change this
setting. But if you haven't, I would urge you to look around the various
preferences dialogs.
The fast way is NVDA key u. Pressing this
command repeatedly cycles through a number of options. they are
self-explanatory. You can change this setting anywhere, you don't have to
be in NVDA.
