The issue no longer exists.  Maheen joined the list to promote his discussion group.  I kept him moderated and, when he sent a message promoting it, I wrote him privately explaining that the message isn't remotely on topic and won't be allowed.  I don't know what Maheen is doing now.  I haven't followed him to any extent in the past.  I know a very little about him which is why I kept him moderated to see if he played buy the list rules.  He didn't.  But whatever you think of him, he didn't make a fuss, he didn't try to persuade me to approve the message, he did nothing but unsubscribe.

The matter is closed.  I strongly don't want any more comments on this issue.  I'll lock the thread if it continues.

Hm. Has Maheen promised to be nice and asked for forgiveness for all
his past misdeeds. I know he likes to claim that his medications are
now adjusted properly and that he's now  a Christian and all... Has he
promised that no more death threats will be forthcoming, that he will
not try to disrupt the list in any way like sending hundreds of

Is the list owner Nimer, willing to take this risk?

And most important of all, who is Bob?

I share the many concerns you just Lazaro. We need to write Nemar Jay bird and Geene at the owner address. I think he meant to sign up for that list which sucks. I was on it for less than a week.

Yeah I might have to do that. For my class though, I have to send links from websites and text from my computer to a student so this in fact will not work for my job, at least i don't think so. They  are  not aloud to hear my screen reader as I type and I'm not waring two pairs of headphones.

Re: usable torrent client recommendations?

but you can use torrents for good stuff also, such as downloading a ubuntu mate linux iso image disk.

Re: usable torrent client recommendations?

use qBittorrent. its quite accessible and you can just grab it from ninite.com

Re: A strange problem with excel2016

Hi,

This sounds like what happens when Excel is recalculating the worksheet.

Do you have many formulas in the document? If so, I recommend that you set the calculation to manual in the Formulas ribbon in Excel. Then you can press F9 when you are ready to recalculate the sheet.

All the best,

Cearbhall

Hello,

What kind of elements are in your sheet? Are there comments, formfields, macros etc? Or is the sheet empty?

What happens when you use the back space to go back?  I suspect it won't work either, but it should be checked to further determine the problem.

Hello.

for those who have updated google chrome for the 64 version.
When you enter a link on a website, and to go back with alt left arrow
chrome doesn't obey this command.
back and forward.
I don't know if it's a problem of NVDA cannot seem to update the
information, or if it is a bug of accessibility in chrome.
someone's come across this?
some tips?
thank you.
cheers.

These are comments, right?
I see an issue about this problem has been raised. I don't use it myself, but a poke around in github might tell you why its happening if nothing else.
I suspect its another UIA bug in Windows.

Re: usable torrent client recommendations?

I have to say, on my working machine I will not use a torrent client. I keep mine on an old xp machine and only let it on the net after fully checking what has come down when its finished.

Thanks, Chris. I did used to have a much better time with uTorrent when I was using XP. Can’t remember what version I had then, but it had no ads and almost never crashed. So, if noone else has any ideas, I guess I will just take the version downgrade. I know there are a lot of other clients out there but I don’t really want to waste too much time fiddling around trying to find one I like and which is properly accessible.

Just disable updates and you good to go

Subject: [nvda] usable torrent client recommendations?

Hello everyone.

I have been using Utorrent, or Mu-torrent, as it is sometimes called. I ended up with some build of 3.5 on this Windows 10 machine. It is not totally unusable, but the ads have a tendency to get stuck and crash the program. It also causes firefox to crash on a semi-regular basis. I was even willing to “upgrade to pro”, to get rid of the ads, but clicking on the link takes me to some silly games page, and while I’m sure it’s possible to get to the correct page from there, I got this inexplicable impression that the developers did not actually want me to upgrade the software at all, since they make the path so cryptic. In short, I think I would feel more comfortable with a different client altogether. Of course, I am looking for one that is very configurable and which plays nice with NVDA. Have you fine folks any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
